Chapter 6

"Do you have everything, Beyoncé?" Shawn's assistant asked in a rush. She sounded like she was out of breath, which let Bey know that it wasn't her normal territory.

Graciously, Beyoncé smiled at the middle aged woman. "I'm fine, Meagan. How about you just go home?"

"Oh, I can't do that," Meagan told her. "I have to stay until Mr. Carter comes."

Bey stepped back, because it was news to her that Shawn was even coming to the photoshoot. She had specifically told him that she didn't need him there. But in Shawn Carter fashion, he sent his entire team to the photoshoot.

Tanya walked up with Bey's water bottle. "All these people are getting on my nerves."

Bey chuckled and took the water bottle. "Your nerves? I'm the one that has to work in this mess. It's too many people," Bey stressed. She was used to having a closed set with the only people allowed in the shooting space was Beyoncé, the photographer, and Tanya.

Given the sets that she usually did, she didn't like too many people around. It was the protection of her body that she cared the most about. She didn't like unauthorized photos of her body floating around and she truly didn't trust Shawn's people. They were for him, not her.

"Are you ready to start now?" The photographer asked with annoyance written in his voice. He had been waiting for over an hour to start, but Bey refused. She wasn't doing anything until people respected her wishes. She'd asked them to leave the set, but they clearly on listened to Shawn.

"Nope," Beyoncé responded with her arms folded across her tightly wrapped white robe. At the rate the shoot was going, she would soon be leaving without a single picture taken. She walked away from the photographer with an apparent scowl on her face.

Tanya followed her and shook her head, "Call Shawn."

"No need," Beyoncé said once she heard a slight frenzy going on. It was like watching minions scramble. He had power, and all he did was walk in the building. The only ones not moving happened to be Tanya and Beyoncé. Tanya was only there for Beyoncé, and Beyoncé would have been damned to move for a man.

Shawn crossed the room to get to Bey. He looked pissed, but she looked equally as pissed. "You haven't started?" Shawn asked her.

"Hi, Shawn. How are you?"

Shawn rolled his eyes at her antics. She had always commented about how he refused to use his manners when it came to business. "Hi, Beyoncé. I'm not pleased right now. Please tell me why you're wasting my money."

"Because I like getting on your damn nerves," Beyoncé sarcastically replied. Tanya looked at Bey and shook her head. Tanya had the privilege of watching many of Shawn and Bey's interactions, and she could always tell that sometimes Bey really did just like getting on his nerves. Shawn was used to people acting a certain way around him, and Bey didn't do that. She had her own mind and spoke it.

Shawn sighed. "Besides that."

"I told you how I like my sets. These people need to leave."

Shawn looked around and realized that it was indeed too crowded for Beyoncé. He looked at her, wanting to ask why she didn't just call him, but figured she knew he was coming. It was their second time doing a set. The first time, Shawn didn't come, because she told him that he wasn't welcomed.

Immediately, Shawn took control of the set. He asked everyone but his assistant and Tanya to leave. He had his assistant wait in the back incase he needed her for anything.

"Now?" Shawn asked, Bey. He truly did want to see her in action. He'd heard that once she was in front of a camera and in her element, nothing could hold her back. Sexy became her and it was like every shot was damn near perfect.
