Chapter 5

The news station's building was in a frenzy. Everyone was running around putting finishing touches on something. Everybody had a job to do, but yet Giselle didn't bother to leave her desk. She was more than ready. Her makeup and hair had already been done and she knew what her job was to do. She was the one that had to be there for the main event, but yet everyone else was running around. Today was the day that President Barack Obama would be sitting in for an interview. It had been something that the station had planned for an entire month, but yet, they were still behind on things.

Even with the upcoming interview in less than an hour, all most people on blogs could talk about was Beyoncé and Shawn. It had been two weeks since their initial meeting, and the two had been spotting out together at least four times since. The newfound relationship rumors were a given because of who Beyoncé was, but most people just wanted to know how this all started. Most people say that something big is brewing on the professional side, but Giselle isn't all too convinced.

"You know she's having sex with him," she commented as she put her iPad down. Regina looked up from her notes and Starbucks and shook her head.

"Why do you say that?"

"Look at them, Regina. Yes, it may start off professional, but I know my sister. She's going to throw those cookies at him to get what she wants."

"And what is it that she'd want? The girl has everything, Gis."

"But a man," Giselle reminded her. "My sister has never been in a solid relationship. How come you think she doesn't even know who the father of her child is?" Giselle could only shake her head at her sister's stupidity. Never in a million years did she think that Beyoncé would be dumb enough to have sexual relations with so many men that she didn't even know who got her pregnant.

Regina sighed. "You don't know her truth." Regina didn't like bashing the woman completely. It was never like her to negatively bash another woman without truly knowing her or what she was going through. She wasn't close enough to Beyoncé to know an ounce of her business. Like many people, she speculated. The difference between them and Regina was that the things she thought we're all that bad.

Giselle rolled her eyes. "Oh please, there's only one way a model like Beyoncé could get close to a billionaire like Shawn."

"He's a billionaire?" Regina asked, never knowing that information.

Giselle nodded her head slowly. "He made his first appearance on Forbes this year."

"Wow," Regina spoke. "Can't say the girl doesn't know how to pick them."

Giselle's face scrunched up, even though she knew it was a joke. "What? Have a baby by a billionaire? Oldest trick in the book."

"Who said anything about a baby, Giselle?" Regina questioned. "Stop for a second and listen to yourself! She is your sister."

"HA!" Giselle said and waved Regina off. This was the side effect of being in a friendship with a positive person. Giselle had no one to vent her frustrations to. There were times when she just wanted to talk shit about someone, but Regina was too positive to do so. She'd always say that she didn't want that bad karma on her.

"Let's just get ready," Regina said, standing to her feet. She placed her Starbucks cup on Giselle's desk and walked out. Giselle stood up, prepared to follow her, but the producer entered the office.

"Are you ready?" He asked her anxiously.

Giselle shrugged her shoulders. "It isn't like I can just punk out now."

He laughed softly. "Yeah, but I know you'll do great. Trust me. But, that's not why I came in here."

Giselle rose her brow, knowing that he was going to say something that she didn't like. That was usually always the case with him. He either wanted her to change something or do something that she didn't like doing. Either way, Giselle knew that she wasn't going to like it one bit. "What?"
