Chapter 4

Xiumin

"So, are you two dating?" Hoseok suddenly asks out of nowhere.

I instantly turn red and l look down. I hear Truc choking on her apple and I chuckle. I hated when people asked us this question because I would always break the news of us just being friends and how I think of her as a little sister. I hated it so much that I had to deny my feelings for her.

"Nah, we're just friends," I say as calm as possible.

"Really? You two seem pretty close," Hoseok says.

"We've known each other for a pretty long time that's why we seem so close," she says.

"She's like a little sister to me," I say and ruffle her short black hair. I immediately felt heart broken and wished that I could be able to tell her how I felt but I knew she wouldn't feel the same. I'm afraid to be rejected by her. If only I knew how she felt.

"And he's like a big brother to me," she says as she links our two arms together. I can feel my heart beating rapidly as she pulls me closer to her. If only she knew what she was doing to me.

"So, how are you liking the school Hoseok?" Truc says as she takes a small bite from her apple.

"It's alright I guess but I have to agree with you two that teachers here are pretty shit at their jobs," he says. We all laugh and hear the bell ring.

"What do you have now, Hoseok?" Truc says as she looks at her timetable.

"History, you?" he says.

"Xiumin and I both have history as well. Let's walks to class together."

"You two memorised each other's timetable?"

"No, I just have his timetable because this kid thinks he will lose it," she says as she rolls her eyes. I silently chuckle at her cuteness.

"I guess the two are really close," I hear Hoseok mumble behind us. I wonder why he's so interested in our friendship. The rest of the day went quickly.

I waited in front of Truc's science class for her so I could walk home with her. I see her come out of the classroom tiredly with her back pack on.

"Still on for bubble tea? " I say knowing that she won't reject it.

"Ah shit. I'm so sorry Xiumin but I kind of agreed to show Hoseok around town because he's new and all. Sorry," she says to me and pouts.

She rejected me for the new kid, already? It shouldn't matter but I couldn't help to feel a bit jealous but I let it slide thinking it was only a onetime thing.

"It's alright. We can get bubble tea tomorrow right?" I say.

"Sure. Remember you owe me the bubble tea from this morning," she says happily giving me her cute eye smile. If only she knew what she was doing to my heart right now.

"Yes," I say as I roll my eyes pretending to be annoyed.

"Ok all good then, I better get going Hoseok is waiting in front the school for me. See ya!" She says as she waves at me and leaves me behind in the school halls.

"Bye," I mumble and turn to walk home.

The bad feeling I got earlier today came back but I couldn't shrug it off. What is happening?
