I walk into school and see that I'm 10 minutes late. I start rushing to my first class and find my teacher glaring at me. I give her a cheeky smile and she tells me to sit down. She continues on with class and I start copying the notes she wrote on the board.

Class finally finishes and everyone gets up to leave. I quickly go to the teacher to ask her about the homework assignment that we had just got.

"So for this part you're meant to explain your chosen structure and then write about it. Is that all?" She asks. I nod and thank her and leave the room.

I walk to my next class and see Mary walking around very unsteadily. She's holding her head and books and her legs are all wobbly. Her eyes are closed in which I assume is in pain and she suddenly falls to the ground. My eyes widen and I drop all my books and run over to her. Her skin is pale and cold. I rush over to the art classroom and quickly open the door. The teacher, Mr. Jeon is glaring at me for interrupting his class and he raises his eyebrows.

"Mr. Kim, I think it's very rude for not knocking on the door before opening it so please try again," he says in a annoyed tone.

"It's an emergency! Mary just fainted!" I say in a rush and watch his face go from annoyance to worry. The whole class gasps and some students start to stand up.

"Sit down! Continue on with your paintings. I'll be collecting them after class," he says and rushes out of the class. He quickly goes to Mary's side and carries her to the sick room.

We reach the sick room and I quickly open the door for him to carry her in. Miss. Truong, the school's nurse, looks at the door in shock and sees Mary in Mr. Jeon's arms. She quickly drops her things and guides Mr. Jeon to a bed to lay Mary down.

"What happened?" She says.

"I don't know. Xiumin found her lying outside my classroom. In class, she had fallen asleep and I had told her off," he says. She must have been very tired. I look over to see Miss. Truong checking her temperature and pulse rate.

"She's fine, thankfully. She has a fever and her blood pressure is low but other that she's fine. She just needs some rest," she says as she smiles at Mr. Jeon. I can see that he slightly smiles back as they stare off at each other. The school's nurse and teacher? Who would've known?

I slightly cough, reminding them that a student was here. They immediately look away and blushed a bright red colour.

"M-Mr. Kim, you can go back to class now and Mr. Jeon you can go back to teaching your class. I'll call you in when Miss. Lumapas wakes up. I'm pretty sure those students are not going to teach themselves," she says with a small chuckle.

"I'll write you a late pass Xiumin so you don't have to worry," Mr. Jeon says to me and pats my shoulder.

"I have some with me let me find you one," Miss. Truong says while opening up the cupboard to find some. She passes Mr. Jeon the late slip and slightly touches his hand. The two blush and quickly take their hands away. Mr. Jeon signs the slip off and we both go to our classes.

I walk into class and hand my late slip to my teacher. I sit down and sigh. That was pretty scary.

I decided at lunch that I would go visit Mary and see how she was in the sick room. I walk in and see Mr. Jeon and Miss. Truong laughing together. I slightly knock on the door and see them both turn their heads to me.

"Finally learnt to knock on the door now?" Mr. Jeon says. I slightly laugh even though it wasn't that funny.

"I came to see Mary," I say,

"Miss. Lumapas?" Miss Truong says. I nod. "She went home already. She woke up half an hour ago.

"Oh, okay then," I say and leave the room.

Before I leave I hear Mr. Jeon say that he would pick Miss. Truong up at 7. A date? Now I can see why the whole the school ships them.

I decide that after school I would go visit Mary and see if she's ok. It's been bugging me all day. She looked so pale and fragile, almost like anything would break her.

"Xiumin!" I turn around to see Truc running down the halls.

"I have to cancel on bubble tea on you again. I promise I'll buy it for you instead! I need to do a report with Hoseok for history," she says to me once she reaches me. I'm hurt and jealous that she has to go with Hoseok, again but I was going to tell her that I was going to visit Mary.

"It's ok. Education is important," I say to her and give her a reassuring smile.

"Well I have to go now. I'm really sorry," she says as she starts to walk away.

"It's fine," I say to her. "See you tomorrow!"

I begin to walk to Mary's house trying to remember the route we took.

I look at the house in front of me and make sure it was Mary's house. Making sure it was the same house she had kissed my cheek at. I knock on the door and a middle-aged woman opens the door.

"Hello, I'm one of Mary's friends at school. I wanted to ask if she was alright," I say to her.

"She's fine. She's resting upstairs, would you like to come in?" she says to me.

"Are you sure, I wouldn't want to cause any trouble for you.

"It's fine. I'm pretty sure Mary would love some company," she says as she welcomes me in.

"Her room is on the left," she says to me and leaves to go into the kitchen.

I walk down the hall and go into the room her mother told me to go into and knock on the door.

"You can come in," Mary says and I open the door and see her sitting on her bed, reading a book.

"Oh hey," Mary says with a small blush on her cheeks.

"Hey, how are you?" I say to her.

"So you heard about what happened?" She says nervously.

"Actually, I was kinda the one who helped you," I say and I scratch the back of my neck. She blushes and settles her book down on her bed.

"Oh, thanks," she says. She tells me to sit down and I shake my head.

"I just wanted to check up on you and I have to go soon," I say and she nods. I can see a small disappointment in her eyes but she quickly convers it up with a smile.

"Wait, before you leave can I tell you something?" She nervously says to me. She pats the spot next to her.

"Ah, yeah sure," I say and sit down on the bed with her.

"I actually wanted to confess something to you. Ever since, I met you in my first year, I had fallen for you instantly when you helped me drop my books," she says and I nod.

"Did I really do that?" I say with surprise. Did she really remember something that long ago?

"I wanted to tell you something that I've wanted to tell you for a long time," she says. I have a bad feeling to where this is going but I tell her to go on.

"Xiumin, I like you."
