"I think she likes you." Rick says to me.

I shrug. "It's the hair. Gets 'em every time."

Rick laughs. "We better not stay here too long. Firefly might try to keep you in this hellhole."

"Hell, not what you think. Hole, yes." Rosemary says.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

We don't touch our tea.

Rosemary looks up. "Drink. It will help you."

I sigh and drink the stupid tea. It tastes ok, but I'm not a tea drinker. Rick does the same.

"So, why is everything black here? Was there a giant fire or something?" Rick asks.

Rosemary gives him a look. "It will be best that outsiders like you not know how this was formed. Too complicated for simple minds."

Rick was about to argue when I say, "It ain't worth it."

Rosemary puts this paste-like thing on my arm. It hurts but I don't say anything. I keep a straight face. We sit in a somewhat awkward silence for the longest time.

"Ok, you will need to stay here for one more day." Rosemary says. She takes the paste off and puts on new bandages.

"One more day? We can't stay here one more day!" I practically yell.

"Yeah, we need to leave now." Rick says.

"If you leave now then that wound will start oozing green pus and your arm will fall off. Do you want that?" Rosemary asks.

I clench my fist. "Fine. We'll stay."

Firefly comes in. Rosemary looks over at her.

"Oh, good you're here. Please show them to their room, dear." Rosemary says.

"Follow me." Firefly says while not taking her eyes off me. This chick is weird.

Rick and I got up and followed her to our new "home" for another day. People stare at me and I know they want to kill me. I don't like it here. Plus, Chloe is still trapped somewhere and we are going to stay in some creepy village. Firefly doesn't talk to us the whole time. She just walks on. Finally, we get to this little hut looking thing and we go inside.

"Here's your new home for now." Firefly says to us.

"Um, thanks." I say while looking around.

She smiles. "If you need anything, tell me."

"Will do." Rick says.

"What are your names?" Firefly asks.

"Seth." I say.

"And I'm Rick." Rick says.

"Such strange names you have." Firefly says.

"Thanks. We'll take that as a compliment." I say.

Firefly laughs. "What is it like in your world?"

"Well, for one, the sky is blue. Not gray." Rick says.

"Blue? What does blue look like?" Firefly seems confused.

"You've never seen the color blue?" I ask her.

She shakes her head. "No. Can you show me?"

I take out my bow and hand it to her. "This is a darker shade. It's called midnight blue."

She holds it as if it was a bomb about to go off. "Wow. It's beautiful. What do you use it for?"

"Hunting or archery." Rick explains.
