The guard leads me to the room that Seth had described to me. The woman in purple looks more and more like a shadow than a person. She does not say anything. The guard chains me to something invisible. I try to get up but the thing is too strong. I look all around and I see pieces of broken glass all over the walls. There is a "throne" facing me. The woman sits there and stares at me.
"Take the soot out of her hair." She orders a servant-looking person.
The servant rushes over with a towel and rubs my head fiercely until my hair is brown and not black. The purple woman smiles in an evil way. I think that she's jealous of my hair. I mean, many people are. The servant rushes out to clean the towel. They just walk right through the purple wall and glass.
"I know why you're here," The woman says. She turned into a purple shadow instead of a woman. But she was very dark, so I can differentiate between her and the wall.
"You want to set those people free. Well, it's their fault that they were brought here. They didn't take precautions about full moons. You did the same thing. There is one more like you. Your friend."
I say nothing. How did she know about me? How'd she know about Seth? She better not so much as lay a hand on him; only I can do that.
"You see, during a full moon, I have control of all portals. This is the place where the sun gets its fuel. The people work the black soil for coal, or any other substance. They are mere shadows because they're not real--not totally. Now you plan to rebel against me. I won't allow that."
"How do you know this?" I ask.
"I saw you open that portal. I know what you plan to do."
"I'm going to stop you. I won't leave until I do."
She smiles evilly. "I hoped you'd say that."
She made all the glass fall on me and it cut my skin everywhere. I'm bleeding and in pain, but I have to do something. I cut the chains and I charge at her. She turns into a regular woman. She looks almost scared but just shoves me back. Blood is everywhere-my blood. I try to slice her hand but my blade just sinks into her. She's a shadow...shadows can't exist with light hitting them.
I put my sword up and find a small flashlight that was in my pocket. The woman now looks afraid.
"You wouldn't dare..." She says.
I smile. I aim the light at her and she turns into a regular woman dressed in torn, black clothes. She screams the whole time. Without darkness, she's just another person. She falls to the ground and has me beaten for this. After what seems like an eternity, she throws me into a cell. Please, Seth, I pray, come quickly.

Hammer comes up to me and gives my head a good whack. Soot comes off my head and my red hair is revealed. Firefly just stares at me as if to tell me that she told me so. Hammer stares at me as if I was some sort of alien with three eyes and six arms or something.
"You...you are from this 'Earth' they speak of!" Hammer says.
Rick unsheathes his sword and has it at Hammer's throat in no time. Before Firefly can get away, I run after her and get a firm grip on her. I make sure that she can't move. She looks scared and tries to bite me.
"Hey, calm down. We're not gonna hurt you." I say.
"If you want supplies, then you let me go." Hammer says.
I see the anger in Rick's eyes. Does he want to kill Hammer? But he hasn't done anything to hurt us. Well, not yet anyways. If he would just shut his mouth that'd be great. I try not to hurt Firefly, but I don't know if she would even indicate if she was in pain.
