I know you guys were asking so I decided to clarify it for you. The character that I introduced last chapter, Alezander, is actually Alezander Giordano, Derek's father.

Married to the Mafia: Capítulo Dieciocho

"N-no, you can't!" I watched my mother's face turn into one of pure fear when she heard my statement. "Yes, the hell I can and you can watch me!" I grabbed my keys and started walking towards the door.

"No! Derek, please!" I heard her yell and plead for me but I wasn't having it. "Wait!" I turned around to look at her, taking in her bruised face and I squeezed my hand into a fist. "No." I gritted out.

"I waited too long." That was all I said before I got in my car and drove off, only one destination in mind: the building of Giordano Corp.

"DEREK! WAIT!" I heard my mother screaming outside of the house when I reached the end of the street. I didn't back up. Instead, I just continued on.

-

"Sir, do you have an ID or a meeting here?" A woman asked me as I walked inside of the building known as Giordano Corp. It was a publishing agency, very famous in a lot of the things they did because of my father. He was very successful and this was proof of it.

"I'm here to see Alezander Giordano." I gritted out, knowing that it was really late and I might have looked like a serial killer with bruised knuckles and a tear stained face.

I knew my dad was still here after office hours because he was the type of person who liked to work on future things so he didn't have a lot on his plate when the time came.

"Do you have an appointment?" The lady with the brown hair and blue eyes asked as she looked cautious of me. I knew we were gathering the attention of the other contractors that were working overtime but I didn't care.

"Listen lady, I'm here to see my god damn father. Would you be so fucking kind to take me to him or do I have to do it my damn self?" I growled out, not liking how this was wasting my time.

"Oh, okay sir!" She hurried up from around the counter and ordered me to follow her into the elevator. "You're his son, Derek?" She asked as she pressed the eleventh floor button. "Yes." I mean, who else would I be, his cousin?

"Nice to meet you." She beamed and I fought the urge to roll my eyes at this overly perky girl. It was too damn late to be this happy. "I'm Riley. Riley Knight." She smiled brightly up at me and I saw the glint of lust in her eye.

Oh hell no.

"That's great." I muttered, not really caring about who she was. I came here for a reason and one reason only. "So, you're here to see your father?" She asked and I rolled my eyes discreetly. "Yeah. I said that specifically when I came into this place." I replied, watching the numbers on the elevator screen change so slowly.

The eleventh floor was sure taking its time to come.

"You look just like him, you know?" She trailed her fingers down my arm and bit her lip. Did my father hire thirsty people?

"That's a first." I stated, knowing that I looked more like my mother than my father but if she wants to think that, then she can.

"Thank the holy god." I whispered to myself when the elevator dinged and came to a stop on the floor I needed. I took a step out and began marching in the familiar direction of his office. "DEREK WAIT!" I heard Riley yell from down the hall near the elevator but I didn't dare stop or turn around. I continued my march around the twists and turns and the corners until I stepped in front of his mahogany door.
