The tables have been turned.

Blood flowed down, dripping onto the soil as the sage held her shoulder and hissing in pain from the raw stab wound. Unable to hold on to her sword anymore, she let loose of the grip, stabbing the ground. Glancing around, everyone in the main team has fallen, except for a certain wakizashi who stood there, protecting everyone.

She could see an imaginary cape hanging on his shoulders, reflecting the light from the sunset.

As he heard the tearing sound of cloth he immediately turned his head to see the bloodied makeshift bandage clumsily tied around her shoulder. "General! Don't move around with that wound!" He chided, not forgetting about the danger still lurking around them. The enemies were still around, preying on any gap of opportunity to kill them.

"And so do you, Namazuo! I am older than you, so let's end this quickly and return! I have loads of repair to do afterward!"

Older...? Yes, literally; since she was his master. But he was, in fact, way much older than her. Grabbing his sword, he was ready to fight alongside with her once again.

Reaching the citadel, the others had already prepared the necessary things needed for the repairs. She didn't care about herself and went straight to the treatment, throwing in a help token to speed things up. In thirty minutes, all the swords were completely repaired, leaving the sage behind.

"Oh, so General does know the feeling of pain?" Yagen stated coldly while slightly increasing the strength on his hand, causing the sage to hiss in pain as the tantou cleaned her wound.

"Well... I just couldn't leave them-"

"Because you think they'll die without the mighty sage, F/N L/N?"

She nodded cheekily, hissing even more from the pain.

"Stop it, Yagen... She's more injured than us."

"Yeah, and that's why you'll need stitches without an anesthetic as a warning...! How many times have I told you not to risk your life in the battlefield, General!" He said angrily while taking out the hooked needle from the medical box. The expression that he was making was enough to scare her away, not to mention about the stitches that she had to receive.

"Help me, Namazuo! The mighty sage needs your heroic acts!" She pleaded while grabbing him and blocking herself from the medic.

"Well, he's yours, Yagen. I'll see you later, Aruji." He smiled as he left the repair room, not bothered about the events that were about to happen next. What was left in the repair room was a predator who can't wait to devour its prey, as he took the needle using a pair of tweezers.

His devilish smile was the worst nightmare that she had ever faced in her whole life.

"No!!! Don't go, Namazuo!!"
