"General!"

"What... I was just telling you guys what Midare's idea was. Don't shout at me suddenly, both of you..."

The duo apologised and turned their back against her as they churned their brains to decide what to do for her anniversary celebration. Both broke into a smile when an idea popped from their mind, but soon turned to a pout when she told them to dress up like Midare since he wanted to perform, as well as certain performers he requested. The long-haired boy knew her the most as her oldest sword in the citadel. Not just the Awataguchi family, everyone was busy preparing for the celebration. It was certainly a joyous occasion before a loud thud was heard.

"General! What's wrong!" The duo stood up quickly and went towards the collapsed figure who was shivering uncontrollably. Touching her forehead, it was unusually high in temperature. Taking off his jacket, Shinano covered her with it before carrying her over his back as Yagen followed his brother behind anxiously. It wasn't the first time that the both of them had seen her in that manner, but they couldn't help but worry about her. 

Laying her down, he left her to Yagen as he went out to get the necessary herbs from the repair room. As he saw his brothers preparing for the celebration, he decided to take up the role.

"General's... down with a fever."

"We'll have to push back the anniversary party until you're fully recovered." Yagen said as a sigh followed behind, placing the wet towel back onto her forehead. The sage started a coughing fit before she said. "It must be the rain yesterday during our last sortie." Shinano nodded as he told the sage to bring a raincoat jokingly, earning a laugh from both Yagen and the sage.

"Yagen, are you going to perform?" The red-haired boy asked Yagen excitedly with a huge grin on his face. Almost forgetting the 'grand' idea, he acted like he had already forgotten about it, hoping to avoid using that idea.

"Hmm? I am not-"

"General, we'll be performing! I've told Midare about it, so just take a good rest and anticipate the celebration!"

"Shinano!"

"Come on! It's General's anniversary! Can't you just do something to make it even more memorable?"

"I guess there's nothing more memorable than this..."

"Pfft.." The sage couldn't help but burst out laughing at his words, a few coughs followed behind since she was too excited for their performance.

A few days later, she was completely recovered, and she never forgot that performance even after she retired. Till now, she repeats that story to her granddaughter who were so fascinated by her heroic tales.

"Who are those performers! Tell me, Grandma!"

"Haha... They go by the name of Yagen Toushirou, Shinano Toushirou and Midare Toushirou. Do you want to see them?"
