{Rhett}
The sun shining through my window wakes me from my deep sleep. Trying to get back to that place, I roll over feeling my body meet hers. She sighs and relaxes her body against my own. I'm almost back to that peaceful slumber, when the realization that we are both naked hits me. I instantly sit up, taking in this scene. My best friend's little sister is naked in my bed, with her clothes thrown across my bedroom, and him just down the hall.Carrigan sighs and rolls over, facing me, still asleep. Her makeup is smeared across her face, and her curly hair has flattened into a frizzy mess, yet she is still the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I shake my head, and slip on my boxers before I open my door. Looking out the window, I see Liam's truck sitting in his parking spot. Quickly, I make my way back into my bedroom and climb back into bed to wake her up.
"Carrigan." I call softly, stroking her hair.
She sighs again, and her eyes flutter open. Her eyes widen as the realization hits her as well.
"Oh my god." She gasps, quickly sitting up.
I quickly cover her mouth with my hand. "Don't be too loud; you're brother is just down the hall in his room."
She nods her head and sighs. "Last night happened?"
I nod my head and hand her one of my t-shirts. "We can say you got too drunk at the party and fell asleep here. He doesn't have to know what we did."
"Rhett." She sighs. "This is too big to lie about. What if we can't get away with it?"
I shake my head, and run my fingers through her hair. "We have to."
"Do you regret it?" She asks, looking to the sheets.
I tilt her chin up, making sure she is looking in my eyes. "I only regret what we did, if it was something you weren't ready for. If I pushed you, or forced you, or I should've said no because you were drinking-"
Carrigan cuts me off, by pressing her lips to mine.
"I don't regret it." She says softly. "Last night was perfect."
A knock on the door, breaks the moment we were just having. I quickly climb off the bed, as Carrigan grabs her panties from the nightstand by my bed. I throw a clean pair of sweatpants towards her and slowly open the door, hoping I can manage to look like I just woke up.
"Hey." Liam says, looking like he had a wild night of partying. "I saw Cari's car out front. Is she in here?"
I glance back to the bed, and see she's laying back on her pillow, eyes pressed shut.
"I'm sorry, Liam." I sigh. "She got drunk last night and I didn't want her driving back to the dorm. Plus the shit with Jake that happened."
Liam shakes his head. "No I understand."
He peeks his head inside, and I'm thankful he doesn't see her bra behind the door.
"Tell her to stay for a little bit, when she wakes up. We can go get breakfast after I shower."
I nod my head and shut the door behind him. I sigh and lean against the door, as Carrigan's body visibly relaxes.
"I don't know if I can do breakfast too." She admits.
"We need to." I tell her, crawling into bed beside her. "That way it doesn't look suspicious."
She sighs heavily and rests in my arms. "Are my clothes in here?"
I nod my head and grab the bag from the floor beside my bed. "Grabbed it last night."
She climbs out of bed and I can see the hesitation in her eyes, as she decides whether or not to change in front of me.
