Brynlee's POV

I was walking around outside with Albus, holding hands when he stops.

" What's wrong? " I ask.

" Brynlee.... " Albus gets down on one knee.

I'm too young!!!

" Albus! I'm too young for this!! " I exclaim.

" I was gonna ask if you would be my girlfriend. " He laughs.

" Then what's in the box? " I ask, looking at the little box he was holding.

" This. " He opens the box, revealing a beautiful gold locket.

" Oh Albus! " I say. " It's.. It's beautiful! It must've cost a fortune! "

And it did! Or it at least looked like it did.

" It wasn't cheap... So... What do you say? Will you be my girlfriend? " He smiles.

" Of course... " I jump up, wrapping my arms around his neck as he spins me around.

He sets me down and puts the locket around my neck and clips it.

I fumble with the heart locket and smile.

" You like it? "

" No... "

He looks upset.

" I love it Al... "

" YOU can call me Albus... "

" Ok... Albus.. " I kiss him on the lips lightly and pull away to someone saying my name.

" BRYNLEE!! " Alice yells running down to us.

" What?!? " I ask alarmed.

" It's Reya!! She's in the hospital wing..." She says quickly.

" What?! "

" Come on! " She grabs my hand and runs towards the castle, dragging me away from my new boyfriend.

" Meet me there Albus! " I yell before he was out of sight.

" Madam Darlene?"I ask quickly. " What happened to Reya?!? "

" You will have to ask Mr. Malfoy. He was the only one there. She looks like she was cut up though.. Slashes if you will. "

" MALFOY! " I scream walking over to him.

He stood there staring at the lifeless Reya.

" Malfoy you answer me!! WHAT. HAPPENED. TO. REYA!?!? " I ask holding him by the collar of his shirt.

He was acting as if he were paralyzed.

" Malfoy, you could've prevented this! Now, I'm going to ask you one more time. What. Happened. To. Reya. " I ask giving him the death stare.

" I.... I dunno.... All I heard was ' sectumsempra ' and Reya started bleeding... Reya had three slashes on her... " He said staring at Reya, not looking away once.

" Natalie... That bi--- "

" What? Natalie? Why would she do this? " He asks.

Poor boy... So fricken clueless.

" Scorpius... She's in love with you!! She would do ANYTHING to get Reya away from you! You're so clueless!! THIS COULD'VE BEEN PREVENTED!! YOU KNEW THIS MALFOY!! NOW BECAUSE OF YOU MY BEST FRIEND IS IN A HOSPITAL BED!!! " I was crying by then.

" Brynlee?!? " A voice asks worried.

It was Albus.

I go down to my knees and cry. " I just want Rey to be ok... "

Albus runs to my side and sits by me. He pulls me into his lap and hugs me tightly. I wrap my arms around him as he does the same.

I bury my head in the crook of his neck and cry.

" Shhhh... It's ok... She'll be awake soon Bryn... I promise... " He says soothingly while he rubs my back.

" Reya... Reya.... Rey... " I say before I fall into a deep sleep.

" Reya.... Reya.... REYA!! " I scream realizing what happened.

" Brynlee... Shhh you need to relax.. " Albus pushes me back down into the the couch, in the Gryffindor common room.

" Is she.... Is she awake? " I ask.

" Not yet... " He sighs.

I slam my head back on the couch and groan.

" Brynlee... She will wake up soon... We just need to give her time. "

" We don't have time!! She needs to wake up Albus! "

" Bryn! She will wake up when she's ready and she feels safe.. She's probably in that stage where she knows she asleep but doesn't know if she wants to wake up or not. "

" I need to talk to her... "

" Brrryyyynnn.... "

" Albus please... " I plead.

" Fine... Then you promise you will rest? " He asks.

" Yes! "

" Ok... "

I sit on the bed Reya was lying on and I was holding her hand.

" Reya..... If you can hear me... I want you to know... You're amazing.. And you're the best friend a girl could ever have. And... I'm not ready to lose you... I need you Rey... You're my other half. We've been best friends since diapers. You know me better than I do at times! I don't know what I would do if I lost you. I would probably go into depression..." I laugh a tiny bit. " Overall... I love you Reya... Please wake up. "

I stand up, getting ready to leave when I feel a tug on my hand.

" R-Reya? " I ask.

Reya's eyes flutter open and she looks at me.

" Reya! " I squeal and hug her tightly.

She returns the hug then lightly touches the cuts on her neck " Do you think this will leave a scar?" She asks me " I hope it doesn't, but then again it does kinda make me look tough, "

I laugh

"Ugh" she says, touching her hair "I need a shower"

I smile, Ive got my best friend back.
