Connie P.O.V
Interview
"My name is Connie Richards, I'm 23 years old and I'm an Olympic swimmer."
"What is your biggest achievement?"
"Definitely winning gold at the Olympics this year, it's been the highlight of my life!" I admit truthfully.
"Are you afraid of anything?" The cameraman asks me.
"I don't think so, but we will have to find out I guess. But I wouldn't tell you anyway or you will stick me in with it." I giggle at the camera.
"Next question. Are you single?"
"I am single," I reply.
"Ok. What are you expecting from the jungle?"
"I hope to have a great experience. I think I will as long as there isn't anyone that will rub me up the wrong way. Or I probably will speak my mind." I say, but end up giggling at the end as I can't take myself seriously.
"Ok and final question. What would your dream camp mate be like?" the cameraman asks me as I adjust my self on the leather sofa and move my blonde hair out the way.
"I think someone funny. If you can make me laugh you can win me over. As long as there are no villains of the camp and there are people there with humour and energy, we're gonna have a good time!"
"Ok, thanks, Connie. I'll let you go now."
2 days later
After a long 48 hours, I finally made it to Brisbane. I've dropped my baggage at the hotel, cleaned myself up and our adventure is about to start. I'm driven quite a long way in a van type vehicle and dropped off at a port.
"Good morning miss Richards, are you ready?" I'm asked by the speedboat captain.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" I reply. We propel through the water and arrive at a massive villa with a colossal garden and white structure. It looks absolutely beautiful. I see a woman I instantly recognise! Carol. Carol Vorderman.
I'm escorted off the boat and I climb the steps onto the little front grass area.
"Hello, Connie!" Carol greets me pulling me in for a hug.
"Hiya Carol," I exclaim.
I pull away and we stand and chat, waiting for the next arrival with champagne glasses in our hands.
"When I went to school, I always watched you on the TV and wanted to be like you! I mean, your maths skills are incredible!" I tell Carol. She's wearing a long beige dress that fits her perfectly and her hair is to die for. I'm wearing a short black and white dress, (pictured above) as I thought we should probably be dressed up for this. My hair is shoulder length and blonde, and I have quite bright blue eyes. I've been asked for modelling jobs before, but that isn't what I want to be known for. Swimming is my talent. I also have a strong Wiltshire accent that I'm not too fond of.
"Thank you, sweetie, I've always watched the Olympics and seeing someone as young as you do so well is incredible. I've never been confident in water so it's amazing to see such talent. Congrats on the gold, by the way, your a British legend." Carol compliments.
"Aww thank you," I say.
After making small talk, the speedboat arrives once again. I recognise him as Scott Thomas from love island but realise they aren't the same, but spitting images. It must be Adam. I have seen him before, but have never been a big fan of any soap really! His black hair is curled into a mini afro and he wears a skin-tight black shirt. After introducing himself, we chat and wait again.
Next, I see an outline of another man. Comedian Joel Dommett I make him out to be. His height matches his ripped figure perfectly, his beard and hair styled looking sexy. His smile is cheeky as he climbs out the speedboat and up the stairs.
"Hello," I shout to him and he walks over.
"Why hello." He says walking over to the three of us. I hold my hand out as he takes it and pulls me in for a polite kiss on the cheek. He repeats with Carol as he does some manly handshake with Adam.
"I can't believe I'm stood with an Olympian, Math expert and Soap Actor! This is so surreal." Joel says gawking at us. I don't know if it's my imagination, but he spends a lot longer making eye contact with me. (My figure is like Ola's, but she isn't in this as there are only 12 campmates. Sorry!)
After small talk and more giggles, the last camp mate arrives. Jordan Banjo.
Joel turns to me as Carol chats to Jordan and Adam-
"So, are you scared of anything?" He asks me with his hazel eyes engaging.
"You'll have to find out won't you," I say mysteriously, not trying to choke as
I secretly gawk his arm muscles. He tenses them as he sees me looking. I look back up at him and he just grins."Are you scared of anything?" I ask.
"You'll have to wait and see!" He replies.
Ant and Dec arrive shortly afterwards.
"Hello, celebrities!" Ant comments as they walk over with their cue cards and position themselves on the grass opposite us.
"This is a lovely camp." Carol comments.
"Well, I'm afraid to say you're not spending very long here!" Dec replies with a cheeky grin.
We line up and Joel comes and stands next to me. He wraps his arm around my shoulder and gives me a noogie on the top of my head, messing my neat blonde curls.
"Joel!" I say hitting him in the arm playfully trying to fix my hair.
"Your gonna pay for that," Joel replies to my little hit on the arm as he chases me around the garden. He wraps his arms around my waist when he catches me as I can't run fast on the heels I'm wearing. He swings me round as I scream and laugh for help. I just hear our presenters laughing along with Carol.
When I just look over to Adam and Jordan, their nudging each other and looking over slightly, giggling when they catch my gaze.
I look up at Joel as he's much taller and he just grins down at me. I try to playfully slap him but he restrains me instantly. We just end up laughing as he pulls me into a hug and apologises jokily.
We line up eventually and Ant and Dec begin.
"You're probably wondering where the other celebrities are." Ant comments.
"Well, let's go and meet them."
