Joel P.O.V"Wake up mate." I hear someone tell me as I open my eyes slowly to the broad daylight. Their voice is low and croaky, and I open it to see Larry staring down at me.
"Ok." I yawn, snuggling into my side, but I know that if I fall asleep again, then the likelihood of me being tipped on to the floor is very high.
I walk down to the dungy as Larry continues to wake everybody up. I see Martin down there, walking out of the cloth toilet. I quickly rub the sleep dust from my eyes and greet him good morning as I start to brush my teeth.
"Good morning." He replies. "Sleep well?" He asks me.
"Yeah, did you?" I question.
"Yeah. I heard you stayed up really late." Martin questions, picking up his toothbrush. I spit my toothpaste out in a little bucket that we have to empty by the creek every day.
"Yeah, well I was waiting for Connie and the boys to come back but then I got so tired that I called it a night." I explain wiping my mouth with the only towel I can find, a green dirty one.
"How come you were waiting for Connie? Aren't you guys like a thing now." He questions spitting his toothpaste into the bucket as I hand him the towel and I walk into the dungy.
"Yeah we are. I mean we aren't official or anything, but I really do like her, and we act as more than friends but yeah I hope things will progress when we are out of here." I explain.
"Well I hope it works out for you two. Your so lovely together and individually both of you. So young and talented. Those were the days." Martin jokes as I exit the dungy.
"What are you talking about Martin! Your still young!" I comment as we both trek back to camp.
As we arrive, we are rushed by Carol and Danny who have told us that we need to head to the trial clearing immediately. I wipe down my dark blue shirt and pick my bag up.
"Good morning." A soft voice tells me as I look by my side to see Connie and I pull in for a side hug.
"You excited?" She asks me. The truthful answer, no, but I'll do anything to get out of camp at the moment.
"Yeah sure." I say reluctantly.
"Your such a bad liar!" She says as I entwine my fingers with hers.
We arrive at the clearing soon enough and are instructed not to swear, and to sit blues on the left and yellows on the right when we arrive.

"Hello guys, take a seat" Dec ushers as we make ourselves comfortable, me resting myself between Adam and Carol.
"How are we all feeling this morning?" Ant asks, all echoing comments such as 'good' and 'tired'.
"Ok well here is how this trial works. Since the yellow team are in the lead at the moment, every one of the yellow team mates has picked someone from the blue team to go up against. Everyone will have their own trials, earning points for the final trial between the two captains Danny and Martin." Ant says into the camera and scanning his eyes over all of us at the same time.
"The more points you gain as a team, the bigger advantage your captain will have in the final trial. Whichever team wins that will be granted a prize at the jungle spa, whilst the other team will go back to camp and face another trial later on to win their own food."
"First up is Wayne from the yellow team and he picked to go up against..." Dec starts. "Joel." He drags as I cheer Wayne on, them both making their ways across the narrow white pathways to small podiums.
