Jonathan always had trouble speaking his mind in return, it caused a lot of bottled up emotions and a shit ton of stress that could never find a release. It was depression at it's finest. And damn was it cold. He had been like this before as a teenager but not this bad. At least back then he had his sister or Luke to talk to and when they weren't around he had his trusty razor, but he'd moved a long time ago so he rarely sees either of them at all. Maybe once every few years he gets a visit from Genay if she's lucky enough to get a day or two off from work. Luke stops by a few days before the holidays and they hang out for a few hours and open early presents if it calls for it. They usually just play games not really talking about anything serious, and his razor was calling his name but he'll be damned if he gives in after all this time. His scars from youth are just starting to fade and he doesn't need to make more.

He knows the others might listen if he gave them the thought of their time. You'd think at this age one would have gotten over anxiety a long time ago but not him. Sure over the game he's bright and bubbly but in real life, he so buried with pent up thoughts and emotions that he feels like he's constantly drowning. He could talk to Evan, they text a lot but Evan has his own problems and he doesn't need to burden him with his own.

He sighed laying on his couch his arm covering his eyes from the sun pouring into his small apartment enjoying the silence for it was rare now a day since the neighbors just had a baby and the new norm is the faint crying heard coming from the other side of the thin walls. But they were visiting family for the holidays so there was no sound other than the sound of the heater kicking on every few hours. He sighed a faint smile on his lips as he was half asleep until his phone dinged and he frowned "So much for some peace and quiet." he mumbled grabbing his phone off the table and reading the text. It was from Evan.

Open your door clown ;p

Jonathan stared at the text in confusion until he heard someone knock on his door. "No..." he whispered to himself walking to his door. He looked through the peephole and sure enough he saw the tuft of black hair and the top half of a set of aviators. He huffed a sigh and smiled opening his door making the Canadian look up and freeze "Wow..." Jonathan tilted his head in confusion "What? Am I that much of a mess?" he chuckled and Evan just looked before shaking his head. "Jesus Del... How come you never told us you were so pretty?" Jonathan's cheeks were pink and he smiled lightly, "Thanks..?" Evan froze and chuckled awkwardly scratching the back of his neck "Don't mention it." Jonathan stepped to the side opening the door more. "Come on in Snowl man." Jonathan chuckled as Evan glared but still smiled as he walked in. "It's small I know, but I like it. It's homey to me." he closed the door and went to sit on the couch Evan sitting down next to him. "Why are you here?" Jonathan asked and Evan removed his glasses with a sigh before looking at him. "Is something wrong Jonathan?" the moment he heard his real name Jonathan knew it was going to get serious.

"What do you mean?" Jonathan feigned oblivion. In all honesty, he was just trying not to break down and start crying. "You've been off lately. We've all noticed, so Luke asked me to come down here but in all honesty, I had already bought the ticket before he asked." Jonathan shifted slightly sitting up more. "What do you mean 'I've been off lately'?" Evan sighed. "We all know you, Jon. When it comes to expressing what you feel you close up. Leave for a day or two then come back like nothing happened, but each time your light dims. Your laugh isn't as bright, you aren't as talkative, and you don't talk back when you're picked on. Not like you used to." Jonathan felt the lump in his throat start to build but he swallowed thickly and shook his head. "I have no clue what you're talking about." he said quietly, a fake smile pulled at his lips.

Evan sighed grabbing his hand with one and cupping his cheek with the other resting their foreheads together. "Talk to me. Not as an online friend, not as a text buddy. Talk to me as the one who cares, as the one who fell for this bright, bubbly, crazy, spontaneous, mysterious man. Open up." Jonathan closed his eyes squeezing Evan's hand lightly. "I'm just so... So tired." he sobbed. Evan nodded pulling him into a tight hug. "I'm here, okay. I'm not going anywhere." Jonathan nodded. "Did you mean it... When you said I was pretty?" Evan nodded gripping his shoulders and looking into his eyes. "When you opened that door and I saw those diamond eyes. I thought my heart stopped because damn it, Jonathan. They are so god damn beautiful and so is every inch of you." Evan pulled him closer connecting their lips in a kiss that sealed fate itself for the both of them.

Jonathan lay in bed breathing quietly as Evan looked down at him propped up on his elbow smiling as he admired the man. Stroking the mop of dark red curls that lay against pale mocha skin, tracing his eyebrows, then his jaw. He noticed a tiny black stud at the top right corner in the space between his nose and mouth before moving to his eyes, and ears watching as one of the the tiny black studs glistened in the sunlight coming through the cracks in the blinds before Jonathan began to stir. He yawned rubbing his eyes smiling at the younger man. "You're still here," he said his voice thick with sleep and Evan nodded. "I'm staying for a while actually." he chuckled. Jonathan grabbed his hand intertwining their fingers. "Good. How long?" Evan laid his head on the pillow looking into his eyes. "I'm leaving on the seventh." Jonathan's eyes widened. "What? What about Christmas or New Years with your family?" Evan smiled and shook his head. "I told them before I left. I'm staying with you for a while." Jonathan smiled feeling the tears well in the corners of his eyes. "Thank you..." he whispered. Evan nodded kissing his head pulling him close. "Go back to sleep. You're gonna show me around tomorrow, okay?" Jonathan sniffled and nodded. "Okay." Evan wrapped his arms around Jonathan's waist tracing circles lightly on his back until he finally drifted off from the faint breathing of his new boyfriend.

Hello again! HEllmersy here and I just wanted to say thank you to all of you guys and this is an early Christmas present to all of you but it is mostly dedicated to a great friend of mine who is mentioned at the top. This woman has inspired me in many ways as well as helping me through some stressful times simply by being her amazing self and I honestly could never thank her enough. And don't worry this is not the only one I'll post before Christmas but this idea hit me in the face like a wrecking ball while I was listening to this song, so here you go. HEllmersy out, PEACE!
