A guy takes his friends advice to "let loose" and take a day off.

"I can't think of what the future holds because it fucking terrifies me. And every time I think about the past I just get this... painful, awful tightness in my chest and it hurts. Because here, right now-! Buddy is down on his last few months and even with such a large following and supportive people all around me, I still feel..."
"Empty?"
"Yeah."
"I get it, really I do. You're afraid of being stuck in the past, but, you also don't want to think about the future and I think that a lot of people your age feel that way at some point or another."
"So what, I'm having a mid-life crisis?"
"Well, for lack of a better term... yeah."
Ryan sighed, propping his elbows on the desk and resting his face in his hands. "So what do I do?" he asked and Jonathan was quiet for a moment.
"You and I are going to play about six hours worth of Fortnite, and then after you're done editing a stockpile of videos. Take a break, Ohm. Go for a drive, see a movie, hook up with someone sizzling hot and remember that you don't have to think ahead about everything. Take a few days to live in the moment."
Ryan stared at his screen for a moment before he grinned. "I see I'm rubbing off on you." Jonathan snorted and chuckled maniacally. "Yeah, maybe just a bit. Or you know, I could just be well rested for once."
Ryan chuckled. "I doubt it, you probably stayed up until six editing and woke up at eight," he said as he picked up his controller and Jonathan scoffed but otherwise didn't comment.
"Alright, let's get this started," he said with a smile.
They ended up playing for just over eight hours and after a full cram session of editing, he was able to make enough videos to last a few days.
He saved them and rubbed his eyes when his vision started to go blurry and he shook his head before walking over to his bed.
When he woke up it was one in the afternoon, he sat up and stretched, sighing in relief as his joints cracked and his muscles relaxed. He ran a hand through his hair as his brain played catch up with yesterdays events before starting his day.

There were no movies that looked interesting as of late, though Delirious didn't say he had to go out. But still, a change of scenery would be nice, and the drive for something different is what lead him to the club the next town over.
The music thumped and people danced, a group was seated at the far end of the bar for a party and Ohm kinda wished he had some friends to hang out with, but that was the point of today. Live in the moment, meet new people.
He bought a drink, just a small shot of straight vodka. He tossed it back, groaned in disgust as his throat burned. He cleared his throat before heading over to the dance floor.
It wasn't all that hard to live in the moment with dozens of other bodies pushing and pulling you wherever, moving on from woman to man and caring who grabbed where. Things were good and he felt... unwound.
A hand grabbed onto his shoulder and he turned around to be greeted with a smiling face of a man. His blonde hair bobbed and waved with his movements and the beads of sweat clinging to his tan skin glistened in the lights, his dark green eyes gleamed and they wouldn't leave him, never breaking his gaze even as he twisted and moved.
After a moment he felt another hand grab his own and then he was suddenly being dragged through the crowd. When they broke through Ryan was surprised to see another man, his red curly hair was shaved on the sides and pale skin glowed in the light while a lip piercing reflected them.
"So how's the letting lose thing working out?" he yelled over the music.
Ryan raised a brow in question before his eyes widened in shock. "Delirious?"
The man just smiled widely, giggled maniacally and winked before taking off into the crowd and Ryan just stood there until his shock was gone and a grin replaced it and he chased after him.
