(Aly's P.O.V)
Promises, there seems to be a lot of them made and none kept. Questions and memories kept going through my mind, they were the ones I couldn't answer or didn't want to answer. Anne and I arrive at the hospital fairly late knowing we'd only be aloud here for a short time.
"How is he?" I asked I walked into the room. Liam was by his side and Anne got pulled aside and was asked some question by the doctor that was looking after Harry.
"Damaged, he hasn't changed much in the last few hours." Liam said as he stood up and hugged me. It was hard seeing Harry like this.
"Do they know if he is going to be ok?" I ask pulling away and taking Liam's spot.
"He'll be fine, but as soon as he wakes up he is going to be watched."
"Watched?"
"Yea watched, I think everyone is glad he has been captured, even if he is in a hospital." Liam explained.
"Well I'm going to spend as much time as I can, you should I and get some rest."
"Yea I should, I'll just talk to Anne and I'll see you tomorrow." I watch Liam leave the room and then gave my full attention to Harry. I didn't like seeing him hurt because it hurt me. Even though Liam said he'd be fine I knew he wouldn't be, not with a tube going down his throat. I looked up to see Anne and Liam hugging just outside the room and Anne was crying, that's when I knew it was more serious then Liam lead on.
(Flashback)
It's Tuesday night, cold and really windy. Harry had a brilliant idea of going out, leaving me home. It's not like I had a choice. Liam ha come over because they ran out of pot and needed more before the weekend. It had been a month of living with Harry and he had only been smoking it pretty bad for the past week, saying he needed it to help him sleep. Knowing Harry would be out all night I called Kayla, it had been weeks since I last spoken to her and I just wanted her to know I was doing ok.
"Hello?"
"Hey K, it's Aly."
"Oh, you rang sooner than I though."
"Oh no it's not like that, I was judging calling to see how you are but I see your still quick to judge."
"Always, I love you Aly and I don't want to see you get hurt but vein with him that's all he'll do is hurt you."
"Well he hasn't and will never do such a thing."
"Yea will see, I heard his family are having a rough patch."
"Really?"
"See you didn't even know that, I bet he hasn't even introduced you to then."
"I think I should go."
"See Aly, I'm right, I'm always right."
"I don't have time for this." And with that I hung up and threw my phone. Kayla was right and it annoyed me. After talking I Kayla and having the conversation run through my mind I started to second guess my relationship with Harry. What if Kayla was right and he ends up being the kind of person that'll never let me go and use abuse to keep me around. I was starting to talk myself into leaving before it was to late but I didn't know where to go or who to call that would help me. I walked into the bedroom and and started to pace, but that's when I hear a car door close. I listen out as I walk to the kitchen and hear to make voices coming closer to the front door. I try and clean the kitchen by wiping over the bench when Harry and Liam walk through.
"Aly, baby you'll never believe what I got you." Harry says calling out to me. I throw the cloth into the sink and walk over to Harry. Liam had already taken a seat on the couch. "Now i know how you like cats and always wanted a kitten, well I found this little guy." Harry pulled a small fluffy grey kitten out of the box, my mouth dropped and I walked closer to Harry.
"He's so fluffy, aw Harry."
"I thought he'd keep you company when I'm not hear." Harry said. I knew he'd be away even more than he is now, he seems to be hanging with Liam even more these days.
(Flashback Over)
The thoughtful memories played over and over again but I can't help but cry when I go over the day Harry showed his cruel side. I didn't realise how heartless Harry could be until the day and killed an innocent kitten. Harry was laying here on life support and all I could think of are the horrible memories. I got up and met Anne at the door as she was about to walk in.
"I'm just going to grab some coffee, would you like any?" I ask kindly. Anne just shakes her head and I continue to find some source of coffee. The hospital smelled really clean and held the scent of unwashed sick people. I made my way to the food court in hope for something to be open at this time of night and with my luck nothing was available but a vending machine that had dried and burnt coffee but I guess that would have to do for now.
With a coffee that tasted like dirt I slowly made my way back to Harry's room. I started talking to myself in my head, I want Harry to wake up and everything to finish being the way they were or in hope that none of the charges against Harry were true, but nothing for me seems to work out the way you want them to.
I peek through the window to Harry's room and Anne is crying. I will never understand Harry and Anne's bond, it's like no other. As I go to walk in I spot a familiar face down the hall. It was Gemma and a taller lad. I smile as she approaches me and she gestures a hug.
"How are you?" Gemma asks.
"I'm, i'm ok." I answer with a convincing smile.
"How's Harry?"
"I haven't been told much, but I think your mum might know."
"Ok."
I followed Gemma into the room and she hugged Anne. We all took in the sight of Harry before Anne spoke.
"Harry needs blood and a kidney transplant." Was all I heard Anne say. I knew Harry was different and it so happens that he'll beed a certain type of blood and kidney to survive.
"Do we know anyone who can donate?" Gemma asks, tears have started to form in her eyes.
"No, not that I know I of." Anne cried.
"I do." I choked.
(Hey guys I'm sorry I haven't updated sooner, my dad passed on the weekend and it's been hard but I wrote this chapter as a distraction xx)
