(Harry's P.O.V)
The clouds are grey, the wind is cold and yet I still sit out in this cold. The thing on my ankle is giving me the shits, as is the company of my mother. It's only been 12 hours since the trial and I'm bored shitless. Aly had gone out this morning with Gemma and mum has been talking to the neighbour, Robin I think his name is. I sit on the front porch and watch the neighbourhood as it goes by me. As a kid i'd torment the kid down the road, he'd be at college or some shit right about now. I liked this house, it was two story but it wasn't like the one mum ha in the city. My room was in the attic, dad and I had converted it when I was about 12 because Gemma and I would always fight. It was good, it had windows on each wall and was bigger than I could imagines when I was 12 but now it's just a room. Aly thinks it's cute the way mum kept my old shit here, but now that I'm back I can through it all out.
"Harry I'm just going over to Robins house, I shall not be long." Mum said as she came out the front door.
"Oh well I thought you were over there already." I said looking over at his house. It was also a two story and it was well kept for a second man going through another divorce. I watch as she walked over like she was trying to impress someone and it made me laugh. I pulled out the phone mum had brought me and logged onto facebook. It had been months since I had been on but I was sure it would entertain me, but to my surprise there was nothing. While scrolling through a few posts I notice some headlines people have shared and one happened to be about my sentence.
'Harry Styles proven innocent' was the title. I scrolled past because I didn't want to read what people were saying about me, instead I clicked onto the message that just popped up from Adam Blight.
• Hey man heard your in town, let us no when I can come see you. It's been to long.
I laughed because he happened to live down the street. I never really liked Adam, he is pretty much like me and it annoyed me how much more attention people gave him. I didn't answer, I thought if I'd ignore it then he'd give up.
After awhile the front yard was getting boring and with a slight chance of rain I thought I'd go inside and light the fire so it would be cold tonight. The last person to use the fire didn't clean it so that was the first thing I did. I emptied the coals outside and brought in a few logs to out on the fire once I got it started. The first few tries nothing happened but once I found some newspaper it was sure to light up and push out some heat.
"That was very thoughtful of you." I spun around and saw Gemma and Aly standing in the doorway that divided the kitchen and living area.
"Well there isn't anything else to do." I said taking a seat on the couch.
"Sure there is, your just to lazy to do it." Gemma scoffed as she walked into the kitchen. Aly's eyes followed her and when she was out of sight she looked over at me.
"How was your date?" I asked her. She shrugged and walked over to me.
"It was alright I guess." She was butting the inside of the mouth.
"Don't worry I'll get rid of them." I whispered in her ear. The feel of my breath sent a shiver down her spine.
"No it's fine, besides your mum seems to be enjoying herself." Aly smiled. I know had an unpleasant imagine in my head.
"Argh!" I said making Aly laugh. "Gemma when are you going home?" I call out. The house is quiet for a few seconds before Gemma walks into the living room.
