"HOW COULD YOU?!"

Soojung flinched at the sound of her friend's booming voice. She turned and saw Hyeran walking towards the bar. She glanced at the wall clock, it's still half an hour before Hyeran's shift will start but there's no mistaken that Hyeran's already heading at her direction.

"How could you do this?!" Hyeran repeated when she reached the bar. Few guests had turned their heads at them.

"Do what?" trying to lower her voice so the guests will not be disturbed. Though Soojung had no idea what she's talking about.

"How come I'm the last person to know that you have a new housemate?!"

"Oh. That."

"Yes. That! I thought we're supposed to be best friends? How could you not mentioned about that and to think that he's been staying at your house for a week now?!"

"Hyeran calm down, Mr. S will not appreciate you screaming your hearts out at his game room." Soojung warned her friend.

"Hmmmpt!" Hyeran closed her eyes as she turns her head at her left, crossing her arms in her chest. It is her famous 'I'm mad at you' pose which Soojung knows all too well.

"I'm sorry I forgot to mention it to you." Soojung reached out at her friend.

"Why? Are you secret lovers now?" Hyeran asked.

Soojung turned a little red, memories of the event last night came to her mind. She can still feel the sensation of his mouth in her. She tries to erase the memory but with difficulty.

"O-Of c-course not!"

"Hmmmmm ... Maybe he's the real reason why you asked us to switch shift...so you can spend long nights with him."

"Well ... T-Technically he's part of it ...."

"Aha! I knew it!" Hyeran said cutting her sentence.

"That is only because he's the reason why I got the manor back. He had beaten Mr.S at baduk so it's only natural of him to give me death glares. I'm still worried he might get the house so as much as possible I wanna stay away from him as far as a can and your shift is the perfect one since he rarely visits the game room in the morning."

Hyeran remain quiet as she process her friend's explanation, weighing if she'll believe it or not. Then she sighed, withdrawing her tough exterior. "Fine, I believe you."

"But who is this new housemate of yours anyway?" She dropped the angry best friend act and turned into a crazy fangirl friend.

Soojung went back to the sink, she's cleaning the glasses of liquor before finishing her shift. Hyeran went inside so she can help her with the cleaning too.

"There's nothing going on. Don't get too excited, we're just sharing the comfort of my house. That's it." Soojung replied quickly.

"How come you're too defensive all of a sudden? I'm just asking what's he like." Hyeran teased.

"He's new to the village. His name is Jongin."

"In? What kind of name is that!"

"Not In, it's Jong-in."

"That's it? What's his family name? Where did he come from? Does he have criminal record?"

Soojung bite her lower lip. Now that Hyeran asked, it occurred to her that she still have no idea who is her new housemate.
