Chapter 9

Bathhouses

Soojung almost run back to her house. She wants to get there first so she can kick him out when he arrives. Mentally slapping herself from doing such indecent things to some stranger. How could she even face him now?!

"Yah!" A voice called from her back.

'Damn he's fast!'

"Yah!"

Soojung doubled her pace to reach her house quickly.

"Troublesome woman!"

Soojung stopped. A nerve popping comically from the corner of her forehead. 'Now I'm the troublesome?!'

"You forgot this."

She turns around and a big pouch was thrown to her which she catches easily.

"What's this?" she asked, staring at the bag. Although she recognizes the package perfectly.

"Yours."

She looks up and met his eyes. They both looked away at the same time with blushes under their eyes. Giving each other physical pleasures is not something one easily forgets.

"This is not mine." she tosses the bag back at him.

"Actually it's not for you. It's for the bathhouse." Jongin said then he tosses the bag back at Soojung.

"Bathhouse?"

"You want to operate that bathhouse of yours, right? Then that's the money to jump start your business."

"How did you know..?"

"Your noisy friend." he answered.

Soojung looked down at the bag she's holding. 'He gambled so he can have the money I needed?'

"What the heck are you up to?!"

"Huh?"

"One minute your a normal tenant then the next thing I know you're risking your life again for my sake?!"

"I went there to just play. I got lucky that's all." Jongin scratches the back of his head. He hates confrontations like this especially he have no intention to confirm her accusations.

"I don't buy that shit!"

Jongin released a deep sigh. "Your friend told me you want to operate that bathhouse so I'm giving you my winnings. Simple as that."

Soojung chuckled coldly. "You said so yourself, it's your winnings. Why are you giving it to me now?"

"I don't really have the intention of bagging up huge amount of money when I got there. I just want to pass the time. And besides.....you also helped me win anyway." Jongin's lips curves into a small smile, almost like a smirk.

Soojung's face heat up at the mention of her "help" to his game.

Jongin started walking leaving Soojung still frozen in her feet.

"Guess we're even." Jongin whispered but Soojung heard it perfectly. This didn't do any good, in fact it's making her insides feel hot in a totally different level.

With firm hands, Soojung knocks at Jongin's door.

There was no response. She tried again but it seems that it's vacant.

A small fear envelop her. 'He left already?'

She went downstairs to look for him. Her instinct told her to check the garden first.
