A New Beginning

"Are you nervous?"

Jongin asked Soojung.

There was a buzz outside of the Jung Manor at the separate entrance of the now fully renovated bathhouse. People are excited to see the new establishment. That means the advertising strategy of Soojung had worked.

So far so good. They are just waiting for the monk to arrive and the ribbon cutting of the new bathhouse will officially start.

All is well.

Well... except Soojung.

"Of course I'm not nervous it's just a stupid ribbon cutting why would I be nervous there's nothing to be nervous about!" she said in one breath.

"You mentioned the word 'nervous' thrice in one sentence which only proves that you are indeed nervous." says Jongin with a smirk.

"Just shut up already! You're getting in my nerves!"

"See....my point exactly."

They are inside the Jung Manor. Jongin, relaxed as ever leans at the sliding door leading to the garden with his eyes closed while Soojung on the other hand can't even stay in one place. She's been pacing the entire living room but refuse to admit that she's actually pacing.

Jongin opens his left eye and looks at Soojung. "'It's kinda cute watching you like that."

Soojung shoot glares of dagger at him. He just chuckled.

"Come here." he asked Soojung to sit down at the couch. Out of nervousness, Soojung just obliged. He puts his hands on each side of Soojung's shoulders and push her down to the sofa.

"You need to relax. Everything will be okay. You don't want to faint while cutting the ribbon, do you?" he started massaging her shoulders.

But instead of a soothing feeling, Jongin's hand movements were sending electric jolts in her body making her more nervous than she already is.

She stood up, surprising him.

"Are you sure the monk will come on time? It's almost 9am, he's still not here." she barks at him.

"Will you please relax. Geez..."

Then there was a knock on the front door. Soojung had almost run to it.

It's Hyeran.

"Soojungie! It's time! The monk is here!"

She said that then she runs towards the bathhouse.

"See. I told he'll be here." Jongin said as he approach her. He puts on his shoes, getting ready to follow Hyeran but then he noticed Soojung's still holding the door, staring at the space Hyeran had been few seconds ago.

Jongin gently puts his hand on her shoulder making her look at him. "Hey...You okay?"

"I ......"

"What is it?"

"I guess this is it." she said.

Jongin smiles and nods his head. "Yeah..... a new beginning." he extends his other hand for her.

Soojung looks down at his hand and a smile formed in her lips too. She took his hand.

"Yeah ..... a new beginning."

With hands together, they walk out of the house towards the bathhouse.
