Chapter 18
First Fight
"Where have you been?"
Soojung questions them the moment Jongin and Sehun returned at the bathhouse. She's still with Sooyeon, they are standing at the side of the food table. Sooyeon's holding up a plate full of food Soojung had insisted on feeding her.
"Just went for a walk." Sehun answered.
"Tsk!" Soojung didn't believe them but didn't push on the subject. Instead she grabbed an empty plate and push it to Sehun, she started filling up the plate with all the kinds of food they had for the celebration. "There. Eat up. You're not as skinny as Sooyeon but you need to eat too."
Sehun had no choice but to stuff his mouth with food.
"Sooyeon, the black circles in your eyes had gone big. I don't remember them being this thick before." she said to her sister
"I never got rid of the insomia, sis." she says.
Jongin feels Sooyeon's body is a little bit weak but surprisingly she radiates power and authority, kinda like Soojung.
Guess it runs in the family. But she doesn't seem to be temperamental. Good to know there's at least one whose normal among them three. Jongin thought.
Jongin had never seen Soojung this energetic and happy. It's refreshing to watch her be all motherly to her siblings.
Well that's always the good start to being a great mother to our- I mean- her future kids.
Jongin choked on his drink.
Fuck. Did I almost thought our kids?!

A bead of sweat fell from Jongin's temple down to the side of his face and curved at the path of his jaw. That is what to expect from living in a kingdom surrounded by desert, it could actually be considered normal given the fact that he is walking at the busy market of Silla under the scorching sun.
"Are you planning to skip Market day next week? You bought food good enough for two weeks." Jongin asked the woman in front of him.
Soojung's walking a little ahead of Jongin, looking at the list she was holding in her hand. Her eyes scanned the list and she smiles after realizing they got everything. She faced his tenant, smirking, clearly enjoying seeing him balance 6 or more plastic bags full of vegetables, fish, fruits and meat at each hand.
"That's just good for a week. Quit complaining we're almost done." she too have grocery bags on her hand but not as heavy as the ones he have.
They stop at a mooncake store and Jongin had no choice but to follow Soojung inside. They took a seat at the farthest table, he puts down all of their bags under the table as she orders two servings of mooncake.
