Chapter 19

"So you're mated to a wolf?" The woman questions in disbelief.

"Yes." Damian says, slightly irritated at all the questions. The woman doesn't say anything anymore but I can feel her eyes burning into my soul. "Y/n, are you okay?" Damian questions, giving me all his attention. I slowly nod my head, my gaze never leaving Talia's. Damian, chooses to ignore my answer and begins helping me up. "Come on Y/n, go rest. We can talk later." I give him a sad smile, knowing he doesn't want me to witness anything here.

"Okay... Just, don't leave me. Please?" I say, afraid he's going to abandon me for this woman who I'm assuming is his mother.

"I would never. Now, go rest. I'll come find you later." He says, kissing my cheek. I give him one last look before turning around, going somewhere else. I can feel their eyes on me as they watch me leave. I head to the front door. I don't run into anyone there, and successfully make my way away from the Manor. I need some time alone, to figure all this out. I want to go home.

I could use the portal key, on my necklace. I have no idea how it got there but oh well. I run out to somewhere safe and secluded, making sure no one is here and no one is following me. I take off my necklace being careful of the charm and creepy vile of blood. I then, insert the key into what looks like thin air, but it goes in like a lock and key. I then twist it, opening a door to what should be home. I walk through it, closing the portal door behind me. I reappear in the woods, I can tell I'm only a few minutes away from the pack house. Maybe I could use the mind link to let them know I'm here.

'Alex...'

'Y/n? That you?'

'Yeah, I'm by huge old oak tree just a few minutes away from the house.'

'Stay there. One of us will come get you.'

'Alex?'

'Yeah?'

'I missed you'

'Missed you too sis'

He's answering the mind link, guess I'll have to wait. Alex wasn't lying. A few minutes later, I see a husky looking wolf, coming over to us. That must be Casey. When the wolf's only a few feet away from me, it transforms into my big bro, Casey. Without waiting for an introduction, I pounce into his arms. Casey doesn't even look or act fazed, he probably expected me to do this. "CASEY I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I basically scream at the top of my lungs.

"Woah. Woah, there, easy little sis. I missed you too." He says. "Come on, let's head to the pack house. Dad knows you're here."

Once we get to the pack house, we're immediately greeted by the other pack members. They're all really excited to see me. Soon, we arrive at my dad's office.

"Y/n! Sweetie I missed you so much!" My dad yells, dropping whatever he's doing, literally and figuratively.

"I missed you too dad," I say, giving him a hug. Then I notice Alec and Alex in the room. I run over to them almost smashing them into the wall behind them. They don't say anything, they just hug me.

"You have to tell us all about your experience in Gotham!" Alec says. He's always wanting an adventure of some sort.

"Nuh uh. First you tell us about your mate." Casey states, giving me a smirk. I blush at the thought of Damian, but I also freeze up. Knowing that the others have no idea I had one. I look over to my dad and see that he has a stone cold expression, while Alec and Alex are both giving me the 'you're in trouble' look.

"Uh, right. So um. I have a mate now." I say, trying my best to predict my dads reaction. Now, I see his face slightly twitch meaning I have 2 seconds to explain why he shouldn't hunt him down and make him disappear. "He's really nice and vey caring and so is his family!! I love him so much just please don't kill him!!!!" I say pleading that my dad will listen.
