"You guys act like kids." Casey scolds, taking on the parental role.
I roll my eyes. "Whatever, dad's been shot. What do you want us to do?"
Casey's glare flickers to me before softening to a stony stare. "First of all, not freak out on the doctor. He's only trying to help." Casey said, directly that right at us. "Next, dad was shot with a bullet cover in a wolfy poison. He'll heal but it'll be a while before that happens..." He trails off towards the end.
I give him a stony stare, showing just how ticked off I am about this. "Who the heck would shoot my dad!? The fricken' alpha!" I shout, very frustrated.
Casey sighs as Alex pulls me in for a side pouty hug. "It'll be okay-"
"No it won't." I cut him off.
"How do you know that?" Alec asks, smirking his butt off. I glare at him, picking up a nearby vase and chucking it at him. It smashes against the wall, shattering into pieces upon impact. "HEY!!" He hisses, running over beside Casey. I raise a brow at him. Just because you stand next to another more liked brother, doesn't mean I'm not going to try and strangle you.
I roll my eyes. "Whatever Alec." I say, walking towards dad's room. Once inside, I see many tubes and wires connecting to dad. One in his mouth to help him breathe, loads of them connected to his arms and a bunch more that I don't even know about.
I sit down on the hard hospital chair and take dad's hand.
"Daddy! Daddy!" My childish voice called.
A deep chuckle is herd. "Yes little wolfie?" Dad smiles at me.
My younger self pouts at him. "I had a bad dream...."
"Aw, I'm sorry. Say, why don't we go for a walk in the forest? That might help you clear your mind of bad thoughts." Dad says, smiling sympathetically at myself.
My little girl head nods and runs off to grab her coat, dad trailing behind. "Dad, where's mom?"
He looks at my past self, a smile on his face. "She's visiting an old friend of hers."
"Will she come back?" I say, my little girl mind not exactly comprehending this.
Dad chuckles at my adorableness. "Of course she will. She loves this family very much." I smile at his response.
I smile at the fond memory. When I was younger, I could never understand why mother had left her family to visit someone else's. I always, and I mean always cried when she left.
I suppose I just cried even more when she died, but at that time it was something I could grasp. The fact that my mom died for me.
It's something I never expected her to do.
But I love her for it.
The quiet echoing of the room and the beeping of the heart monitor my ears pick up the sound of footsteps.
Thinking it's just one my brothers, I decide not to do anything about it. "Geez, you don't have to be so quiet." I tell him, keeping my eyes on my father's sleeping figure. "What time is it?" I ask.
I don't hear a response. "Are you even there?" I ask, rolling my eyes at the attempted joke. "Seriously this isn't-"
                              "I'm not your brothers."
                              *Time Skip*
A loud scream pierces the halls of the hospital, signalling potential danger and or actual danger. The sounds of heavy footsteps are quick to follow, approximately two people head for the source of the scream.
When at the room, there's lot, and I mean lots of red liquid spilling and draining onto the floor.
