Chapter 30

"Alright, tell me about your brothers." I then spend the next few minutes briefing Damian about my brothers, Dad, and some of the natural wolf things we do. Truth be told, a few minutes later, a wolf comes out of nowhere and tackles Damian to the ground.

It's a husky colored wolf, but with more dark patches. The wolf pins Damian to the ground, but he rolls out form under the wolf. The wolf looks absolutely furious, I have to stop this! I shift into my white wolf form, and start circling Damian protectively. Damian's laying on his back on the ground, looking up and keeping his eyes on me and the wolf.

The husky wolf looks so angry. As I'm about to lunge at the wolf, another wolf comes almost out of nowhere! This time, the other wolf is white with some black spots on its form. They come in growling, the charge tackle the husky colored wolf, taking it through the bushes of the forest and out of view. I change my instinct from attacking to protecting.

I run over to Damian, who's now kneeling next to me. I nudge his side, making sure he doesn't have any injuries.

"Y/n, I'm alright. It was startling, but otherwise, I'm good." He says, patting my head and scratching my fur.

I'm about to shift when, the two wolves come crashing back in front of us. I push Damian behind me, and take a fighting stance. I growl loudly, telling them whose boss. They stop fighting a second before the husky one, comes charging at me.

We begin fighting, I pay no attention to the other wolf there. We keeping lunging at each other, I dodge fangs, claws and paws. My opponent is barely keeping up, I can tell this wolf is not from our pack. During our fighting, we hear another loud growl, making us all stop.

Another wolf emerges from the woods. This time, the wolf is midnight black and very large in size. It roars at the husky wolf. The husky wolf gives me one more attack before bolting off from wherever it came from.

The black wolf emits a low growl before running off, leaving me, Damian, and the other wolf. I turn around and see Damian standing there, almost frozen to the spot, with the wolf circling him.

I sharply growl, telling the wolf to get away from my mate! It looks at me, then back at Damian before walking to me. I take this opportunity to walk over to Damian's side, shifting back to human form in the process. When I to him, I check him for nay injuries and such. Although, I seem to have been nipped in the side by the wolves attack.

"Y/n! You're injured!" Damian exclaims, grabbing me and holding my arm up to examine the wound.

"It's alright, wolves have an accelerated healing factor." Just as I said that, the wound begins to close and heal itself over.

"Still doesn't fix the fact you were hurt." He says, grumbling. He wraps his arms around my shoulders, pulling me into a side hug.

"Psh, I'm fine Dami, but thank you for worrying about me.." I quietly say, pressing a kiss to his cheek and neck.

"You better be..." He mutters in my ear, letting his hot breath tickle me.

Sadly though, this moment is ruined by the sound of someone clearing their throat behind us.

"You are such a good partner. No wonder my lil' sis likes you." The annoying voice behind me says. Casey.

"Hey.... What's going on?" I ask, groaning in annoyance.

"Be nice, Damian's here." He scolds.

"I know, he's hugging me right now." I say, with obvious sarcasm.

"Hi Casey, nice to meet you." Damian politely greets. Casey smiles at his courtesy, nodding his head a little bit in approval.

"Hi Damian. Welcome to our pack! Can't wait to get to know you!" He says, in the most upbeat tone I've ever herd come out of his mouth.
