-Penelope's P.O.V

The mall the other day actually went really well. I got so much clothes and so did Sydney. The other day was two days ago, which meant today was the first day of school. I was scared to death. The bullying about my dads never really started until last year when people started to learn what the word 'gay' meant. Ever since I was little, I knew that I was different because everyone else had a mum and a dad. Of course it didn't bother me because no one thought it was a bad thing. Until last year.

In English, around Christmas, we had to write letters to our parents, telling them how important they were to us. Mrs. Evans wanted us to read them to the class too. Everyone read their letters about both their mothers and fathers; they all were lovely. Then it was my turn. I was nervous because I felt a little weird being the only one with no mum. So, I went up to the front of class and started. The first four words were what started it all:

Dear Daddy and Papa...

That letter never made its way to my parents because I was embarrassed as the rest of the day was filled with teasing and name calling. Sydney was the only one there for me.

Daddy and Papa wanted to both drop me off today; I was terrified. Neither of them know what I go through everyday at school, and I never plan on telling them.

I walked downstairs in a navy blue T-shirt with daises on it and white shorts that came up right above my knee. Topping it off, I wore my white flip flops and blue sunglasses on my head. I put a tiny bit of make up on. I loved make up, but I never wore a lot. A bit of foundation, concealer, mascara, and sometimes eye shadow. But that was it.

"Papa!" I called from the steps. He walked out. "Does this look okay?"

"Yes, you look fine. Are you ready to go?" I nodded, grabbing my backpack from beside the door that lead to the garage. "Harry! Ya coming?" Soon Daddy walked out with his phone in hand.

"I want a picture first." I groaned. "Go outside in front of the mini garden." With that, the three of us went outside. Daddy got his picture. So did Papa. We then all get into the black Mercedes and drove off to school. Once we were there, I spotted my best friend. "Have a good day sweetheart."

"Thanks Daddy. Bye Papa. Love you."

"Love you too baby girl." I leaned up and kissed them both on the cheek before getting out and rushing to Sydney. I let out a sigh of relief when my dads drove away. No one said anything to me until I had to leave Sydney so I could go to my locker. Since her last name started with a C (Crawford), and mine started with a T (Tomlinson), we were at different ends of the 7th grade hall. My locker was three away from hers. Satan- I meant Lydia. What's the difference. She was the worst! She has made my life a living hell. The two kids in between us weren't here yet, so she took the opportunity to glance at me.

"Hey two-Daddy Tomlinson." I didn't say anything and just focused on opening up my locker. "I'm talking to you Penelope Stylinson." Since my dads are famous, everyone knows Daddy's last name, and they've combined their last names. It was just another way to make fun of me.

"Shut up." I muttered and put my books in my locker.

"Excuse me?" She slammed her locker shut and came over to me, slamming my locker on my shirt, getting it caught. "How are your daddies? Rich Daddy one and rich daddy two? Do you ever catch them making out?" She gasped. "Having sex!?" She shouted on purpose. When people looked and saw that it was me she was talking to, they all, besides Sydney, burst into laughter.

"They're just like normal parents, bitch." I spat. She just laughed and locked my locker and walked away after shoving my books out of my hands. Sydney ran over, frowning.

"What's your combination. " She asked, beginning to unlock it. Once I was free, I picked up my books with shaky hands. "I'm tired of seeing this! You need to tell your parents, Penelope." My eyes widened.

"No! It'll hurt them more than me. They can't  know." She groaned as we walked to our homerooms.

"They need to know." She said before turning into her homeroom. I sighed and walked into mine, sitting in the seat in the front at the far right since the bad kids sat in the back. They were the worst because they did the most making fun. And of course Lydia was in this homeroom too. I took my phone out and played some games. I turned Candy Crush off and pulled up Daddy's contact. My thumb hovered over the text button. I sighed and put it away.

The bell rang, telling us that it was time for lunch. I quickly got up and rushed to my locker so no one would stop me in the hall. I me Sydney at her locker, we went tot he cafeteria, and sat at our empty lunch table. Of course there was a little note inside my lunch from my dads. It read: Have a good first day sweetheart! Papa and I love you so much! See you when you get home! -Daddy

At the end of the letter was a little heart too. Just as I was about to put it away, someone ripped it from my hand. Lydia! She read the letter and burst into laughter. She told everyone to be quiet, and she read the note out loud so everyone could hear.

"Double Daddy Tomlinson!" Someone shouted from the back. Tears coated my eyes. I couldn't take it anymore! I got up and ran out of the room bawling my eyes out.

"Penelope!" Sydney shouted, but I kept going, running into the bathroom. Soon after, she entered. "Don't listen to her." She wrapped me in a tight hug after locking the door.

"H-How can't I?" I sobbed. "I-It's everyday! Everyone i-is so mean a-all because of who raises me. J-Just because I have two dads?" I looked at her.

"Look at me." I did. "Your dads love you so much and no one should make you sad about that. They love and care for you just like how their moms and dads take care of them. But you need to tell your dads. They'd be more hurt if you didn't tell them then if you did." I sighed.

"You're right. But I can't."

"It's your choice, but if I were you, I'd tell them. Stay here." She left the bathroom and came back with our lunches. I smiled lightly and we finished eating in there as we joked around and cheered up. As long as I had Sydney around, I knew I'd okay.
