They all got out of the car. My phone started to beep.
"Hey, I'm in my backyard. Where do I go now?" it was Kady.
I picked my phone up with my fingers and typed, Come across the street to the car by the curb. Send.
I saw her walking up to the car. She opened the door.
"Oh my gosh! Molly are you okay!? What happened!?'
"Please just untie me."
She untied me, and I took off my seatbelt.
"Let's go."
"Where are we going? What's going on?"
"I'll explain later, we just need to get away from here right now."
We ran down three streets and down ten blocks.
"Why are we running?"
"It's faster than walking."
We went into a backyard.
"Whose house is this?"
"Shh, it's Aleisha's."
We went and laid down on her trampoline.
"Tell me, what's going on?"
"Lisa, Piper, and Ace."
"What about them?"
"They have a list of people they don't like."
"Everyone has a list of people they don't like."
"Yeah, but they are getting rid of everyone on their list."
"Like by taking them off?"
"That, and taking them out of their life."
"How?"
"They're going around kidnapping them, I think they're going to kill all of them."
"Oh."
"Kady, we're on that list."
"Oh. That's why you told me to leave."
"Yeah, they went in your house to take you."
"Oh my gosh. We have to leave town."
"I know, this is my plan. You go to your dads tomorrow like you're supposed to."
"Molly, no. You know what he does to me. I've told you everything. I can't go."
"Kady, would you rather die, or go to your dads."
"I'd rather die."
"Really?"
"Molly, you just saved my life. I'm not gonna leave you on your own while they're trying to hunt us down."
"Kady, I'll be fine."
"I don't want to come back and have my best friend turned against me, and my other friend dead."
"Fine. I don't have another plan though."
"Why don't you tell the cops?"
"That would make them want to kill us more than they already want to. Even if they didn't want to kill us, they would come and kill us if they knew we told the police."
"Who said that they would know."
"Kady, I think they would know after the police come after them. They had tons of other people on that list, and I don't know where any of them are."
"We need to find them."
"That's too dangerous."
"Molly, we have the chance to save all those people on the list. If we don't do it, we'll regret it later."
"I guess you're right, but we need more than our two hands to help us."
Kady started to grin.
"What?"
"I know people."
"Who?"
"You'll see."
We got off the trampoline and left Aleisha's backyard.
