We walked towards the outskirts of town.
"They have to of found out you weren't there by now, which means they're probably going to come after us," Molly said.
"We're just going to have to be a lot sneakier now. Did they stop by any place after they got you?"
"No, they went straight to your house after talking for a while."
"We're gonna have to be on our lookout."
We walked a few more miles then decided to take a break.
"I'm so tired," Molly said.
"Me too. Hopefully they don't come over here."
"Surely they won't. We've walked a long way."
We sat there for what seemed like forever. I checked my phone and the time read midnight. We can't go back home, not now. We are safer on this porch then we will ever be at home.
"Kaaadyy, go home," there were whispers all around me.
"Did you hear that?" I asked Molly.
"Hear what?"
"Nevermind."
"No tell me."
"I'm just tired Molly, I'm just hearing things."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
Twenty minutes later there was a dark car coming our way slowly a few blocks down.
"Molly.. Do you see that?"
"That's their car. Kady we have to hide!"
I immediately shot up, and went to the door.
"The door won't open, it's locked."
"Try harder. We have to hurry, we don't have much time!"
Molly came up and started trying to open the door with me.
"Just a second," I went off the porch and picked up a big rock.
"What are you doing!? We don't have time to play around!"
"Move out of the way!"
I threw the rock at the window. The window shattered.
"Hurry!"
We went in the house through the window.
"It's pitch black in here, I can't see anything," I said.
"Here, I'll turn on my flashlight," Molly started digging in her pockets for her phone.
"My phone, it's not in here. Oh no. I left it in their car! They probably know we're together now! This isn't good. This is not good."
"Molly, calm down. They were gonna figure it out one way or another. We're hiding now, they probably wouldn't think to look in an old house," Molly didn't answer.
"Molly? Where did you go?"
"I think you might be wrong about them not looking in an old house."
"Oh my gosh."
