Harmony's P.O.V

Somewhere in between the third and fourth movie Dawn and I had fallen asleep. I woke up to an eerie quiet house and cursed, I hated when I woke up in the middle of the night since I lost all sleep and was completely awake, like now the chances of me going back to sleep were none. After laying there in complete silence I decided to head downstairs and walk around the house for a bit just to get my mind off things, the Coltrane's house was beautiful, it had modern structure from the wide windows that acted like walls in most of the rooms, to the neutral colors spread around the house, but somehow despite the look of the structure it melted perfectly around with the forest, it became part of it; after debating it for a while I decided to head outside towards the beach to take a small stroll for it was not so far from the house and I knew somehow the scenery would make me feel better.

I took a deep breath and slightly shivered pulling the grey cardigan tighter, Dawn had given me her white and purple plaid shorts along with her purple tank and the grey cardigan given the fact that I hadn't gone home for clothes or anything like that which was more than perfect for me since I was trying to avoid my drunken father, at least until the episode was over.

I walked along beach enjoying the sand between my feet, once I found the perfect spot I sat down hugging myself closer and stared at the ocean, the wind blew my ginger lock across my face and I could smell the salt mixed with the musk that came from the woods behind me, this place was a true heaven. I do believe that a good couple of hours went by before I finally decided to head back to the house in case Dawn woke up and wondered where I was. As I headed to the house through the backyard I noticed something that made me halt in my steps immediately, I wasn't alone.

Standing across the yard was a large wolf, and by large I mean that he was about the same size as a bear, with deep black fur and striking green eyes that lighted up through the dark night, it was breathtaking and in that moment I knew that there was no way I would come out of this alive yet part of me wasn't afraid because something about this wolf seemed quite familiar, aside from the fact that it hadn't attacked me yet, there was this sense of safeness around the air that made me calm and not fear at all.

Even then when the wolf started walking towards me I didn't move, the wolf bowed his head and I ran my fingers through his soft fur, the wolf immediately made a noise of approval and pleasure as I got closer to it and used my both hands to touch his face seeing every single detail of his head. I was mesmerized by his green eyes the way they looked at me, was it crazy enough to think that the wolf looked at me with pride?

Who was I kidding? Of course, I was crazy, here I was in the middle of the night petting a wild wolf.

As I looked at the wolf I noticed that it was badly hurt, there were several cuts in his front lets but especially his right one, how did I not notice that it had been limping in the first place?

"Wait here, I'm going to look for something to clean you up." I said before I rushed to the house.

After searching for a while I found a large first aid kit under the bathroom's sink along with some bandages, I grabbed as much as I could before I went outside and found the wolf there, sitting, waiting for me.

I know that part of me thought how odd it was for the wolf to be acting this way yet all I could think of was the pain it was probably going through.

"This might sting." I told the wolf before I started to clean and bandage up its wound but never once did the wolf flinch instead it kept his gaze fixated on me, never looking away.

Dawn's P.O.V

I gave a small groan and rolled in the bed expecting to bump into Harmony like I had done earlier, instead I found myself in an empty bed, I quickly got up alarmed, if Harmony had left the house at this hour it was bad news for the members of the pack loved to go out at night to hunt, if Harmony stumbled across one of the members in their wolf forms, goddess knows how she would take it. I quickly placed on my brother's hoodie and raced downstairs ready to call my brother who was out on pack duties or something like that, but before I could get out I noticed through the glass doors that Harmony was outside and to my surprise Braden was there in his wolf form, I stared at them from afar not quite believing it for Harmony was there outside as if for a human this was the most normal thing in the world.

But that wasn't it, my brother the future Alpha who always played tough no matter how badly injured he was after battles was letting Harmony tend his wounds.

And despite how fragile and delicate looking Harmony looked, she was tougher than I thought, she was exactly what my brother and this pack needed.

I closed my eyes and smiled, this was the best thing that could've happened.

"Thank you, goddess, she's perfect." I said in a small voice.
