Dawn's P.O.V

"I think I should go check up on him, I should check up on him. Do you think I should check up on him?" I said in a nervous tone as I gazed outside before I looked at my family who currently sat in the kitchen.

"Give him some space Dawn, he just lost his mother and part of his pack, he needs some time to assimilate that fact." My dad said as he rubbed my back and I smiled at him sadly.

"I know, but I can feel his pain, my heart breaks for him." I said in a soft voice as I gazed outside once again.

"That is one of the things that comes with the mating bond, all these strong emotions that you can't simply escape." My dad said as he gazed at my mum and they both shared a significant look.

"How are you doing honey? Do you want more pancakes?" My mom asked Lily, who nodded eagerly her face stuffed with berries.

Lily's blonde curls softly framed her face, her bright blue eyes would literally light up the room, I knew for a fact that my mum had more than enjoyed to dig around my childhood clothes and get all those outfits she used to dress me up in to use them on Lily, although Lily was quite aware of the fact that her mother and the man she was once forced to call her father were now dead Lily was dealing with this fact quite good, she knew what had happened, she knew that her mother would not come back, that things had changed, yet she showed no emotion of sadness or whatsoever, but I mainly thought that this was due to the fact that she was now in a completely different environment, she was far away from the one place she knew, her entire family and pack were nowhere near her, the only people she knew here was her brother and I guess she kind of knew me as well, I guess that since she was in such a strange environment all she could do was put her guards up, she would pretend she was alright, at least for our sake.

"So, mum, now that you're back does that mean that you forgave dad and all?" Damien asked my mum who simply smiled in response.

"Well for starters we were never fighting or anything like that." My mom said and my brother looked at them shocked.

"What do you mean?" Braden asked confused.

"It was all a façade, Dad and Mom pretended to be fighting, to have all these problems so Victoria wouldn't suspect anything. Dad made Victoria trust him so he could know all those inside of her pack, while mom 'left' dad angered by his affair when in reality she went up to Maine where Victoria's pack resided, with the help of Aunt Savannah's old pack and her brother Mom was able to get more information about Victoria's pack, what had happened to the Alpha and all of the things we needed to know before the Council could even get involved, both dad and mum knew what Victoria's plan was all alone, they just played and lead her right into their trap. Isn't that right?" I said as I looked at my dad and mum, who smiled in response.

"And here we thought we had everyone fooled." My mum said as she looked at me with a smirk and I simply shrugged.

"I was fooled for a second, I can't believe I said all those horrible things to you dad." I said as I looked at him apologetically.

My dad met my gaze and shook his head.

"You have nothing to be sorry about, everyone here was hurting but especially you, and I was acting like a huge jerk. Besides if anything I'm proud of the fact that you are the strong woman I raised, that we raised. If anything, you have proved me with your actions that you no longer are the little girl I always saw you as, you have become a strong woman I am proud to call my daughter." My dad said as he smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Wait, if you guys weren't fighting then why did you guys had mad crazy makeup sex last night?" Alex wondered out loud.

We all stopped eating and looked at him shocked, well, my parents looked mortified.
