Cassandra on top
The soft gravel crunched under our feet as we walked towards the house, we were met by curious gazes, the pack members gazed towards me silently, I could feel them silently judging me.
"Relax." Lucas told me, whispering against my ear.
I smiled at him nervously.
"I can't." I said under my breath as Lucas opened the door and we stepped in, the house was huge but despite that it had a very home-like feeling to it.
As we stepped in I heard some noise coming from the kitchen given the fact that I heard pots slamming against each other.
"Lucas is that you?" A voice called from the distance.
"Yes mom, come on Dawn." Lucas said as he pulled me along with him, we entered an incredibly large kitchen and found a blonde lady who had a plain tee and jeans.
"Hi there, you're a friend of Lucas?" The lady said as she smiled at me warmly, soft wrinkles forming around her blue-green eyes.
"Hi, I'm Dawn." I told her shyly.
Before anyone else could say anything, the back door was opened, a man with several tattoos, grey eyes and dark hair with some grey hairs stepped in and without a word when up to the lady grabbed her by the waist and kissed her roughly, as that happened I could feel Lucas tense next to me so I slipped my hand into his, this must be his uncle Kiev. Once the man pulled away he stared at me, I shifted uncomfortable under his gaze as his eyes roamed freely under my body, Lucas gave a small growl and took a step forward slightly covering my body with his.
"Who is this?" The man said in a rude tone, I was seriously disliking him by the second.
"This is Dawn." The lady said as she smiled at me and I found myself smiling back.
"And what is she doing here?" The man who I was more than sure that he was Kiev, the asshole Lucas talked about, he said rudely dismissing my presence.
"I brought Dawn to meet the pack." Lucas said in a strained voice as he focused on his mother completely ignoring Kiev.
"And who gave her permission to enter my territory?" Kiev said as he glared at Lucas and me.
Lucas' grip tightened as he spoke.
"She doesn't need permission, she's my girlfriend." Lucas said to both their and my surprise, I didn't object as I quite enjoyed the sour look that was soon plastered in Kiev's faze.
"You have plenty of things to learn from being an alpha Lucas you can't just let any random girl enter our territory just because you like her." Kiev scolding Lucas, I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes and snapped at him.
I was in his territory after all and he was the current Alpha so I had to be in my best behavior and be respectful.
"She isn't just any random girl, she's my mate." Lucas said and I couldn't help but notice the great amount of pride in his voice held, I smiled at that.
Lucas' mom got close to us and immediately wrapped her arms around me, she might seem so fragile and delicate but damn was she strong.
"Welcome to our family dear." Lucas' mom said with that bone crushing hug.
"Thank you, Mrs. Boyette." I said as I felt the air leaving my body.
"Please call me Lydia." She said once she pulled away, all this time Kiev had been glaring at us with a scowl.
