"You have to admit it, she hates me." I told Lucas as we watched some of the pack members train, Cassandra was one of them and she was practically kicking everyone's ass.
"I think hate is a strong word, sweet cheeks." Lucas said as he placed his arm around my waist pulling me closer.
"Really Lucas, Cass has done everything to make it quite clear that she can't stand me and doesn't want me here." I said as I watched how Cass started to fight another pack member after winning once again.
"That's how Cassandra is, believe me; ever since we were young Cass has always been one to put people down, you for once don't allow that to happen, you actually challenge her back which explains her strong dislike towards you." Lucas said making me frown in deep though.
"So, in another words Cassandra feels threaten by me?" I said finally realizing what was going on here.
"She might never admit it out loud but she does, and she might bother you until you prove to her that she shouldn't be messing with you." Lucas said as I nodded slowly.
"That's something good to keep in mind." I said in a soft voice as I watched Cass once again come out undefeated.
"Who's next? How about you Lucas? I bet that this time I'll be able to finally beat you." Cassandra said as she got close to us.
Lucas met her gaze before he shook his head.
"Not today Cass, leave it for next week's practice though." Lucas said before Cassandra's gaze moved over to me.
"Why should I even bother to ask you?" It's quite clear that you would never stand a chance, I think one of the youngest pups would be able to defeat you." Cass said in a mocking tone making some pack members laugh.
I glared at her, that was the crossing point.
"Want to find out?" I asked her as I stood up from the bench and started to unzip the large dark blue hoodie Lucas had let me borrow, currently I was only wearing some black workout leggings, my beat-up chucks and a sapphire blue tank.
"Dawn, what are you doing?" Lucas said as he stood up as well from the bench completely alarmed.
"You said it yourself Lucas, she won't stop until I prove to her that I'm not one to be messed with." I told Lucas with a shrug as I handed him his hoodie back.
"I don't think this is a good idea." Lucas said as he met my gaze completely unsure, the faith this man had on me was ridiculous.
"Don't worry Luca, I know what I'm doing." I told him with a quick wink before I headed to the area where Cassandra waited for me with a huge smirk.
"You're ready to get your ass whipped princess?" Cass told me with a smirk.
I glared at her.
"Okay, now you're just asking for it." I said annoyed.
"Just have in mind that your mommy and daddy won't be here to protect you." Cass said with a chuckle, I stared at her blankly.
"Is that how you pretend to pose a threat, by throwing insult as me?" I said in near disbelief but before I could say anything else Cass lunged at me catching me off guard, she punched me square in the jaw before she kicked me in the torso making me stumble back.
In alarm Lucas took a step forward but I raised my hand motioning that it was fine.
"Is that what you wanted?" Cass spat as she looked at me with a smirk.
I wiped off some blood from the corner of my lips and chuckled.
"Now we're talking." I said before I lunged at her.
