It was slow going, walking over to them. The ground was covered in mostly snow and ice, but it ws mud and dead grass where the heat from fire and dragonflame had melted it. We were close. Closer. Then Loth looked up, and spied us. He trumpeted, and all at once the other dragons looked over. I saw someone stand up, then another few heads.
"Iara?" I heard someone say. Luna. It had been so long since I had heard her voice. Then I saw the smallest head of all. A messy tangle of black hair. Marumen. Then Dru stepped forward. He got on his knees, and held his arms open.
"DRU!!!" I screamed as I ran at him. He smiled as I tackle-hugged him, knocking him over into the snow. His laugh was the same as ever. Then I heard the laughing of all my other siblings. It was so nice to be with them again, my heart swelled up out of my chest, like I was going to explode from the happiness. Someone pulled me off of him, and then I was hugging Alice. Her long brown curls smelled like pine needles, as I remembered.
I was being passed around like a doll, but I didn't mind. It was nice, after nearly a year or so. Everyone had barely changed, aside from the fact that they seemed taller and their hair was a bit longer, it was if we had never left in the first place. We...Grimm. As my thoughts returned to him, I glanced over at him. He was a dozen feet or so away from everyone else. He was staring, not at us, but at Verdana. Verdana was about a foot or so closer to him than everyone else. Almost like it was a stand-off between them.
