Iara~

After he said these words I felt better. We both knew that I wouldn't enjoy teaching another rider until a later date, so until then I could wait on Vroengard with Eragon and my brother. After the cheering died down, Nasuada raised her hand to silence the remaining chatter.

"Now then, all that is done with. Soon, there will be two new riders in Alagaesia, and two new dragons. If all of the riders and kings would remain, everyone else is dismissed until the feast later tonight."

With a minor amount of complaints, everyone except for all of us, Nasuada, as well as the dwarf, the king, and the urgal left the throne room. The doors shut with an iron finality, almost as if a new age was about to begin. Nasuada walked forward a few steps and held out her arms.

"All of you, Dru, Luke, Mikael, Alice, Luna, Marumen and Iara. You will always be welcome in this court, no matter your lineage." Dru glanced at Eragon.

"Did you tell her then?" He asked, quite warily I might add.

"I did." Dru looked over at Nasuada.

"Then I know you will believe me when i say that none of us are the person our father was, and we never will be. We have dedicated ourselves to the future and well being of Alagaesia."

"I believe you. Now, I speak from experience when I say that you should get going...every noble in the city is going to want to meet and tell all of you their life story. Though, those guarding the eggs should stay and go throughout the city, who knows, maybe the next rider is right here in the capitol?" Murtagh chuckled, earning a look from everyone.

"Wouldn't that be a surprise?" After that, the dwarf walked over and laughingly embraced Eragon. He seemed kind, if a bit round. I assumed he was the king of their race. Arya being the Queen, it was an event to have the rulers of Alagaesia all gathered in one place. Including the Urgal.

I was introduced to both. The Urgal's name was Nar Garzhvog, and the dwarf was Orik. Eragon knew them both quite well. I was always amazed by him, it was as if every being in Alagaesia knew him well enough to call him friend. It only reminded me how much farther we had to go. Grimm was flying above Ilirea, along with the other dragons. I could sense how joyful he was.

Two more dragon eggs..it makes sense. Soon we won't be the youngest anymore.

I know...it makes me feel older.

It's alright. Your brothers and sisters have all of Alagaesia to traverse, for just one of the eggs. I can understand why they're split into three groups as well. But they can't all travel together, that would defeat the purpose of the two different groups.

So maybe one will go to the upper half of Alagaesia and one will go through the lower half? Switch off every year?

Maybe so. Maybe not. Who knows?
