~Dru
As soon as she began screaming, I knew that ever since Grimm had taken her away, she hadn't stopped having her attacks. It probably would have been better if he had just stayed with us, but it was no use remembering now. I quickly got to my feet and grabbed her, pulling her close. Maybe that would help. But it didn't. Tears streamed down her face like small rivers. I don't know what she was seeing, but it was something about mom. Dangit.....
"M-mom!"
"Iara shh it's okay, nothing's going to hurt you...shh shh.."
I was rocking back and forth with her, rubbing her back and waiting for it to stop. The snowball fight had ceased, and everyone had come over that could. Luna and Luke had taken Marumen back to camp, getting him out of the way. If he noticed it would only make it worse, he could get in the way. Ever since mom had happened....these attacks had been happening. Eventually her breathing slowed down to a softer level. I lifted her up, trying to keep her covered from the cold wind that had suddenly picked up.
Grimm had long held his head to look at us where we had been, but he had refrained from approaching. Then anyone who didn't know about what was going on would have found out, and that would have made her panic even more. We came back over to the fire, and I set her down in a bedroll and sat next to her as she slept. Not very long after, I had to do something. This was the reason Luke was so angry when Grimm took off with her.
I got up and went down to the beach. I wasn't angry, I was just worried. I didn't even understand why we had stayed here this long, I assumed that Iara was going to join us and we would resume our usual schedule of traveling. Arya and Firnen would take us to all of the cities, except the capitol, and we would help people. She even sent me, Luke and Mikael to Surda, as envoys of The Queen.
That had been fun. But Surda was so hot compared to Ellesmera though. I preferred the forest. I focused on breathing evenly and staring at the waves; I didnt realize how fast time had gone by, the sun was nearly setting. I heard a shick shick sound, someone walking on the sand. I looked up, and...it was who I least expected. Murtagh?
He sighed and put his head in between his knees, gazing out at the sea. I didn't fully understand him, but I dont think I wanted to. I didnt fully trust him, even. Arya didnt seem to. I hadnt fully heard the whole story behind Eragon, Murtagh and Arya. The Three, what most called them. I knew little of what really went on, before Arya had found us, I only remember seeing Murtagh around the palace, and that was in the presence of our father. As a Prince, and the eldest to boot, I knew most about political affairs.
"The sea is so nice. Especially at sunset." He sounded rather sleepy.
"It does."
"What happened.....with your sister back there?"
"She remembers what should probably be forgotten."
"Listen, Eragon wouldn't tell me and I assume you know more than he does."
"I do. If Eragon doesnt know much that means Grimm wouldnt tell him, all of the dragons know and we didnt even tell Arya everything."
"Why me then?"
"I know you. I do. Im surprised you dont remember me from the Court. I know you can keep a secret, and it seems im the one who has to tell."
"The Court?" He still didnt remember! I nearly laughed.
"The only court you've ever been a part of. You know."
"No. Youre lying....you have to be!" he seemed nearly offended.
