Darquesse landed on the roof of the London sanctuary and smiled to herself. "Time for some blood shed!" She said and jumped off of the roof and landed in front of the entrance. "This is going to be soooo fun" she said and rubbed her hands together. Then she sweeped her hand and the doors were flung off their hinges and she strolled into the building and down the stairs in the foyer. "Hey guys" darquesse chirped and looked around at the terrified expressions of the mages and sorcerer who were just standing there gaping at her.

A sorcerer splayed his hands and pushed at the air which sent darquesse back a step but this just made her grin. "Aw. How cute!" She cooed and splayed her hand and he went smashing through the wall behind him. "Anyone else wanna try? I wouldn't mind if you wanted to try. Actually I encourage it" she said and held up her arms like she was in surender. "What do you want?" Asked a man shakily. "I want something you have in your repository. You mind if I go and grab it?" She asked and someone strolled through the crowd of people and stood in front of them. She brought out her sword which was hidden under her long coat and took it out of its guard. "Hello tanith" darquesse said and lowered her hands.

Tanith just stood there with her sword in her and scowled at the intruder. "What are you doing here? You don't work for the london sanctuary. You work in Ireland" darquesse said but still tanith didn't say anything. "You wanted a break from the Irish sanctuary? They are quite annoying at times. So I understand. So... You just going to stand and look pretty or are you going to attack... Or at least say something?" Darquesse said crossing her arms and moving her waist to one side. "I'm here just incase you attacked here. You are here. You attacked. So now I'm going to stop you and bring back my little sister" tanith said calmly. Darquesse stumbled and then looked into tanith's eyes and looked scared. "Tanith! Please! Run!" Valkyrie called and then shook her head violently and darquesse sighed. "Shut up" she muttered. "Val! I'm going to save you! Don't you worry" tanith said and glared at darquesse as she began to laugh. "She's really trying but failing miserably to take back control. It's very amusing to see her struggle. She keeps doing that, sometimes it's really obnoxious but I'm stronger so it's fine" darquesse shrugged and then grinned again.

Tanith sprung and her sword shone in the foyer lights and then she brought it down on darquesse's shoulder and sliced it open. Darquesse stumbled but the wound began to slowly heal as she went in to kick the blonde in leathers legs from under her. Tanith flipped over her head and slashed her back open. Darquesse just sighed and lifted tanith into the air using magic and then slammed her into the wall and brought a shadow through her shoulder and tanith cried out. "Now stay. Good tanith" darquesse smiled and dropped the poor female swordsman. Tanith screamed as she landed on her injured shoulder and went to get up but failing and slumped back to the ground. Then losing conscience from the pain. 

Darquesse then looked around at the mages and sorcerer who were still just standing there. Then they all fell to the ground either dead or unconscious. She then skipped down the corridor to the repository and flung the doors open and started searching for the book. When she came to the place where the book sat (it's in Alphabetical order because they probably have a very OCD person in the sanctuary. I don't know why) but it's wasn't there. "Very funny" she muttered and turned to face ghastly. "You really have to work on sneaking up on people" darquesse said lazily. "Noted" he said and then huffed. "You going to go down the easy way or the hard way? I would prefer it if you chose the easy way because I just can't be bothered to do the hard way" ghastly said calmly and leaned against the bookcase with his arms crossed. "But the hard way is more fun. Come on where's the fun in me just turning in?" Darquesse asked but then fell to her knees.

She looked behind her wearily to see skulduggery holding his arm out and in his hand was what looked like a snow globe. "Now that's what I call sneaking up on someone" she said weakly and then her body went ridged as two lights rose from her body. They circled her head, one white and one black. Skulduggery used the air to pull the black one closer to him and then it was sucked into the snow globe. The white light slowly drifted back to the body and she fell on the floor with a thump. "Valkyrie?" Asked skulduggery but when he didn't get a response he stuffed the globe in his pocket and went and kneeled by Valkyrie and turned her so she was now lying on her back. "She's not breathing!" He panicked and brought up his façade and began doing CPR. Ghastly kneeled next to skulduggery and put a hand on his shoulder "I don't think she's coming back skul" ghastly said quietly but skulduggery shook his head and kept doing the CPR and then checked a pulse but...

She sucked in lung fulls of air and went into a coughing fit of painful coughs. Her chest hurt and she felt nauseous and gagged but then took back control and wiped her eyes and was then pulled into a bony chest. The ribs dug into her head but she didn't care. She still sucked in air as she tried to remember what was happening. "Valkyrie! Are you ok?" Skulduggery asked as he took her by the shoulders and pulled her away to have a good look at her. "What happened?" She asked and skulduggery sighed and pulled her back into his chest. "She's gone Val. You're safe now. Don't worry" he said and Valkyrie sighed in relief but then pushed him away and clicked her fingers but no flame would come. She splayed her hands and tried to push at the air but no air came. "She took my magic" she pouted and looked at her hands "I'm a mortal!" She said quietly. "But at least you are alive" skulduggery said happily. "I guess" she said but then sprung up and ran out of the room. She ran down the corridor to the foyer. She faltered when she saw all the bodies but then snapped her neck around to the corner to see tanith sitting again the wall. She was pale. When she saw Valkyrie she frowned and Valkyrie nodded and jumped into tanith's arms. Tanith winced as Valkyrie came into contact with her shoulder but hugged back and squeezed her eyes shut. "It worked!" Tanith cried and stroked Valkyries hair as she began to cry softly. "I almost killed you!" She sobbed but tanith shook her head "but you didn't. Don't cry Val. It's over" tanith said quietly and Valkyrie nodded slowly.
