better than ever

Nine days later Valkyrie was finally better. "I'm hungry!" She moaned. "Well then get some food"
"Why can't you do it?"
"Because I'm busy"
"Fine! I guess you don't love me!"
"I guess so"
"Muh!" Valkyrie huffed and stalked into the kitchen and began making a sandwich. "Are you sure you're feeling better?" Skulduggery called into her. "For the hundredth time yes!" She called back. She walked back into the sitting room with a ham sandwich and a bag of crisps and sat on the sofa. "Where is she?" She asked and skulduggery sighed and put his head in his hands "we don't know! It's like she's not even on this planet anymore" he muttered. "We'll find her" she said and put her food down and went over to him. She kneeled down in front of him and raised his chin "you're skulduggery pleasant, the great skeleton detective! Also you have me as an amazing partner! So there is nothing you can't do" Valkyrie said and smiled. Skulduggery pulled her on to his lap and hugged her tightly "never leave me" he whispered softly in her ear. She put her head in his chest and chuckled "until the end" she said. "Until the end. Want to go to bed?" He asked and Valkyrie nodded. Skulduggery picked her up bridal style and then took her upstairs to his bedroom where they lay in each others arms.
