I need A Walk

I stared broadly at the high creme coloured ceiling above me. I laid there for no more than 5 minutes just staring until I finally decided to get up.

I need a break from everything. Just time for me to collect my thoughts and sort all of this stuff out or else I'd be a writhing train wreck.

I took a hot steaming shower then pulled on a quarter sleeve graphic tshirt and a pair of old jeans. I brushed my wet, tangled hair then put it in a side braid down my shoulder, pulling on a pair of black Vans. I made my way out the door with my phone and earbuds in hand, grabbing an apple from the kitchen before crossing the spanse between the living room and front door.

"I'll be back later, guys." I called out to the 4 guys sitting on the sofa. With the nods of their heads, I pulled open the large front door and stepped out into the breeze.

The sun beamed on me brightly,as i walked, pulling in my earbuds and starting the playlist of songs on my iPhone.

I'd been walking for God knows how long,when I came to a dead end. I looked around and found myself surrounded by broken down stores, vacant houses and parking lots. I'd wandered to the other side of the town, accidentally and i wasn't getting a good vibe either.

I spotted a small group of guys dressed in all black, smoking cigarettes. Puffing out clouds of smoke that disappeared into the setting sky. One man spotted me, turning around and pointing at me, then turning his head back around to talk to the others. Then they all turned around,and began walking in my direction.

Im in real deep shit.

I began fast walking away towards the way I thought was home. But unfortunately, that led me to an alley. I swiftly went into the utter darkness and hid behind a dumpster. As I crouched I pulled out my phone, the light illuminating the features of my face, shining on the wall behind me.

"There she is!" I heard a drunken voice call out.

Oh, shit. shit. shit.

I quickly dialed Hunter's number and after 1 ring he answered, "Hello?"

"Hunter help me please! I'm in an alle-" I was cut off when the phone was snatched from my hands and thrown to the pavement. He grabbed my elbows roughly, pulling me to my feet. He clasped his filthy hand over my mouth,

"Scream and I'll kill you."
