Fix A Heart pt 2

-Austyn POV-

I'm so confused right now. There was an unknown boy weeping like a girl in the chair next to me and there was a girl who looked exactly like me except  she was hooked up to a billion different tubes.

I tried getting the guy's attention again by tapping his shoulder, and he looked up. I thought he finally recognized my presence, but when he took the girl's hand in the bed and placed a kiss to the palm I lost all hope whatsoever. This guy looked oddly familiar with his tan skin, black hair, and gorgeous blue eyes that were pale as snow, but I couldnt quite put my finger on who he was exactly.

Then I finally got it. Hunter was his name. I remembered how he made sure I was okay when I'd stormed off and how he held me afterwards; it hit me like a ton of bricks. That voice telling me how I had the most perfect frame, the most gorgeous eyes, and how he like the freckles on my cheeks. That was him.

But the guy I knew was stronger than this, more confident. The guy before me looked vulnerable as ever, with his tear stained cheeks, flushed face, and pale eyes that I somehow knew once were a more vibrant color, that once held so much passion and love, now were dull as a pile of rocks. Somehow he still managed to look handsome, though I knew things were messed up in his head.

I wrapped my arms around his frame, hoping he'd return the favor at least,but his hand reached out taking a handful of my "clone's" hair into his fingers to move it out of her face thats when I lost it. I became so angry that I had the urge to take her hair and cut it all of with a pair of scissors.

Woah. Im getting jealous now? What the heck is wrong with me! This hospital is making me wacko!

Suddenly the room became dark. All I could see was little spasms of light until it all went completely black.

-Hunter POV-

I leant forward, taking Austyn's hand in mine and studied it for a second before I placed a kiss to her soft palm. I twisted my arm so that I could intertwine our fingers. It felt so wrong but right at the same time. Her fingers were so soft and smooth and they filled in the spaces between my fingers perfectly, like her hand was made for me.

I moved strands of her hair out of the way so I could see her beautiful face, she looked so peaceful sleeping. Suddenly she began to shift, and my breath caught. Was she finally waking up from her coma that she's endured for 3 days now? Or was my brain playing tricks on me?

The opening of her eyes confirmed that my mind was no way near playing tricks. Austyn really was waking up. I was so excited but scared at the time.

Would she remember me?

"Hunt-Hunter." I heard her mumble, as she sat up but immediately fell back onto the mattress holding her head. Her eyes were full of worry and were bloodshot.

"Austyn, you okay?" I rushed to her side, she shook her head and groaned. I hit the big red button on the side of the bed and a nurse rushed in.

She jogged over to Austyn's bed, "Are you in pain?"

Really woman?! Does she look okay?!

Austyn groaned again, clenching her eyes shut and biting into her chapped lips. "Okay I'll be right back with pain medication. Do you need anything to drink, sweetie?"

"Yes, she'll take a cup of water." I answered for her and she gave me a reassuring smile and I patted her hand in a friendly manner. The nurse waddled out of the room and I took my seat again next to Austyn. She gripped onto my hand painfully tight as I assumed she was experiencing another wave of pain, her fingernails digging into my skin causing me to grit my teeth.

I took Austyn's hand in mine, intertwining our fingers like I did a few minutes prior and I placed a kiss to every single one of her fingers to try and ease the pain. When she shot me another one of those half smiles, I knew it was working. The nurse walked in seconds later,a cup of water and a tray in hand.

I helped Austyn sit up by placing my hands on her lower back. The nurse handed her the pain killers and me the glass of water; Austyn popped the pills in like they were candy and I handed her the glass of water in which she chugged down until not one drop was left.

After I laid her back down I sat back in my chair and began drifting off until a voice called out, "Hunter." she said.

"Hmm?" I replied back, my eyes barely open.

"Can you lay with me?" She asked me, her voice laced with sleepiness.

Without even thinking twice, "Sure." I told her and she scooted over to make more room for me.

Even though there were tubes everywhere, she still managed to make space for me. I climbed into her bed and put my arms around her waist, scooting, so I was closer. I buried my head into the crook of her neck, careful not to bump anything, and soon light snores were heard, indicating Austyn had a fallen asleep. Then my eyes got heavy and I drifted off with the girl of my dreams in my arms.
