His voice was music to ears. Deep and velvety. His lips brushed my ear as he spoke, "Wake up baby."
I didnt want to. His hot breath fanned over my face as he hovered over me, chaste kisses being sprinkled on my lips. He shifted his weight to his elbows on either side of my head, nudging my head to the side with his nose so he could bury his head into my neck.
He hummed against my skin, "Austyn." His plump lips met the heated skin of my neck, nipping the fragile piece of skin with his teeth. I peeled my eyes open. Hunter was closer than I thought, "Morning, baby."
"Mmm, Hunter. Get off." I lightly pushed at his chest but he didnt budge. I retorted, rolling on my side and burying my head in his soft downy.
"C'mon baby. Get up." He whined. I batted his hands away. "Fine."
I felt the springs of the mattress rise as Hunter shifted his weight to the floor. I closed my eyes, expecting him to allow me to lure back into my deep slumber. My wishes were demolished when he peeled back his blanket, revealing my bare legs. I squealed as his cold fingers grasped my ankles, heaving me down the length of his bed until my legs were dangling off the edge.
"Gonna get up now, Baby?" He teased and I scowled at him, a small smirk settling on his lips.
After a minute or two of struggling to beat Hunter in this never-ending battle, I surrender to him; hips sliding from the mattress as I clamber off the high bed and make my way to the bathroom.
I scatter into the shower, cleansing my entirety before stepping out. I pull on a pair of denim shorts and a muscle tee, uncovering my skin that had always been sprinkled with long bloody slits. The cuts were merely visible to the eye. Refreshing and untamed is what I felt like. Free and relaxed.
I applied a light sprinkle of sea salt to my locks, maximizing the already loose waves. I looked at my reflection in the mirror as I brushed my teeth and cleansed my face. Presentable, I looked, or so I thought. I slid on some gold sandals, deciding to show off the red varnish on my toes.
*"Sexy." Hunter had told me, after they were painted yesterday.
"You think so?" I had said, wiggling my toes and staring down at them. He had let out a faint 'yes'. *
I swiped some lip butter on my lips before I headed out.
(At school)
For once all eyes weren't on me as I walked the perimeters of the school. I stopped at my locker to put in my combination. 3-32-45 Piling textbooks in my small bag, I slammed the locker shut and made my way to math, head held high.
For some reason, I felt surprisingly confident. No rude comments flew my way at my outfit of choice today. A smile etched its way onto my face as I passed Brittany. She pierced my skin with her hard glare. My chin etched higher. I was looking down at the Davidson High students. Nothing would ruin my happy mood today.
I entered math, taking a seat at my usual spot and uncapped my pen with my teeth.
I scribbled down the notes from the white board when a wad of paper landed on my desk.
You look beautiful today, x.
The quirky handwriting read.
Eyes glancing around to find who the paper belonged to. I met the sparkling gaze of Garret. Scribbling a "thx" in my loopy handwriting and passing it to him. I watched as he unfolded the paper, scanning the paper before he uncapped his blue pen and penned a response.
The note landed on my desk and I reopened it,
Doing anything after school today?
No.
