Jaehee's Pov

30 minutes have past since I woke up in this place. The vampire who I was talking to earlier had left me here alone after he was summoned by the Phantoms.

I had no way of freeing myself from these ropes without burning my own skin, I was terrified and I had all sorts of thoughts in my head; will the others come for me? Can they even find me? Will I be stuck here for good? Will I never be able to see......

And that's where my thoughts always trailed off. Who will I never see again? Do I even have the answer to this question?

I wished the members were here but at the same time I didn't want them to risk their lives just to save me. Their lives were more precious than mine. I was scared to lose any of them.

My hands unconsciously moved on their own, I let out a yelp as the rope burn into my skin.

How long will this last? I'm exhausted. It's been more than 30 minutes I've been in this position and it's so hard to sit straight without moving around.

What will they do to me? Will they kill me? They will eventually do, right?

I was startled when loud noises came from outside, I looked around the room hoping for someone to come out of the shadows but there was no one here except me.

Just what the heck is going outside? I can't exactly see from here.

And then everything went quiet, my heavy breathing was the only audible sound I could hear.

"Hello? Anyone?!" I shouted at the top of my lungs hoping that someone would hear my cry.

At last I heard the heels of a shoe clicked against the floor, it was getting closer and closer to me.

When the person stepped into the light, my eyes widen in disbelieved, I burst out in tears as my body shook  uncontrollably.

"Luhan..." I called.

His eyes were crimson red, those eyes that seemed so familiar to me and yet I couldn't remember where I've seen those eyes before.

He was breathing very heavily and there was blood dripping from under his sleeve, it seemed as though he was badly wounded but I couldn't do anything to help him.

I kept pleading in my head, praying to God he'd be okay, that his condition wouldn't get worse. He fell down right in front of me but he kept his eyes on me the whole time, "Are you okay?"

Even when he's badly wounded, he still put me before me. I nodded as tears trickled down my cheeks. It definitely hurts to see him in that condition but I was also relieved he came because I didn't know how long I could take with these chains tied around me and burning my skin every time I moved.

He observed the chains as if trying to figure out how to loosen them. I waited patiently because I believed in him, that he would definitely set me free.

I smelled blood in their air but I paid it no mind as I held my gaze onto Luhan, he looked at me and smiled. "It'll take time for me to break the chains. Can you wait?"

Did he even need to ask? Of course I can wait especially when it's Luhan we're talking about.

He patted my head all of the sudden which took me by surprised, I wasn't expecting this sweet gesture from him.

Is this his true self? I'm not delusional, am I?

"I'll set you free, trust me."

When I'm with him, I feel completely safe, like nothing in the world could ever harm me.
