Jaehee's Pov

While Luhan was preoccupied with breaking the circle, Tao fought dangerously against two of the vampires.

It was amazing how Tao could keep up with them and although he did his best to keep them off us, he was starting to lose his strength.

To make things worse, one of the vampires managed to leave a wound on his lower abdomen, making it harder for him to move around.

"Tao!" I screamed, every system in my body told me that if I didn't hurry to his aid, we would probably lose him for good.

I looked back at Luhan, I was getting impatient and as if on instinct my fangs revealed themselves.

"Luhan!"

"Almost......got it!" He chanted the last spell which required him to use his own blood to break the cirlce; so thats why Luhan was the only one who could do a counter-spell.

When the spell was lifted and the circle vanished, we quickly ran to Tao and shield him behind us.

"Impressive. You managed to break the circle without breaking a sweat." The leader of the three spoke in an amused tone. "They said you were an incredible beast, I didn't wanna believe it but from what I just seen, I think they might be right. But are you really incredible as they say you are? Or are you just putting up a front?"

He was smiling.

We knew he was trying to provoke Luhan but Luhan remained calm the whole time.

"Are you gonna fight me or are you just going to talk to yourself all day?" said Luhan.

The man laughed as if it was a joke. But I could see his gritted teeth under that pretentious smile.

"Kill them." Right as he said that the other two vampires vanished into thin air and appeared right in front of our faces, they came so fast that we didn't have time to dodge.

I was kicked to the ground in a matter of seconds while Luhan was grabbed on the neck by the other guy and pinned down on the ground, he was struggling to free himself from the vampire's grip.

"Arg!" Small amount of blood spurt out of my mouth, I didn't think it would hurt this much but the part where he kicked me hurt so much.

"Jaehee!" I heard Tao shouting my name but it was soon drown out by the ringing in my ears.

The vampire who kicked me grabbed me by the neck and pulled me off the ground.

His grip tightened around my neck, it felt like my neck was going to tore off from my body.

I glanced behind the vampire's head and saw Tao running towards us.

He leaped off the ground and landed right on top of the vampire who subconsciously let go of me because of the strong impact he made with Tao.

"How dare you lay your filthy hands on her!" The vampire was struggling under Tao's grasp but Tao showed no mercy as he bit off the vampire's neck.

"Argg!" The vampire cried in pain.

To finish him off, Tao tore his head off of his body, leaving his remains to burned to ashes.

After making sure Mr. Vampire was dead, Tao held out his hand to me and I grabbed it without a second thought, lifting myself off the ground. "Thanks."

"Luhan.." Said Tao as we quickly turned our heads to Luhan, finally remembered that he was pinned down on the ground.

The vampire was strong but he was no match for Luhan's strength as the latter immediately tore off the vampire's arm from his body.

"Argg!!" He screamed in pain and backed away giving a chance for Luhan to strike him in his chest; his hand literally went through the vampire's chest.

While still having his hand in his chest, the vampire's body burned to ashes as Luhan squeezed his heart, killing him instantly.

"Luhan!" I ran to him and helped him up. He looked at me with a smile, "You worry too much." Of course I do. If I were to lose him, I wouldn't know what I'd do.

Tao stood next to me with his gaze set on the last vampire standing before us. "Was that it? Didn't even put up much of a fight."

The vampy-leader had his hood over his head so it was hard to tell what expression he had on but as I looked at the veins popping out on his fist, I knew  immediately that he was angry.

"This isn't over. The next time I see you, all three of you will be dead." After saying that, he vanished.

"Well that was dramatic." said Tao.

"At least we are safe, for now." I sighed in relieved.

"That was a warning. The next time we meet, it won't be just him." Luhan had a serious and worried expression on his face.

The next time we meet, the Phantoms will be there for sure.

"Come on, we have to warn the others."

Tao and I nodded our heads to what Luhan just said.

For now, we have to regroup with the others and plan our next move.
