THIS HAS MAJOR FUCKING SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF SIX OF CROWS SO PLEASE DONT READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO READ SIX OF CROWS OR ARE CURRENTLY READING IT (TRUST ME, THE ENDING IS WAY BETTER IF ITS NOT SPOILED)

so i am so proud that i didnt get anything spoiled for six of crows because goddamn the ending wouldnt be as good as it was if i did get it spoiled
so basically six people, most are thieves but there's like one thats not, from the dregs are sent to rescue this man named bo yul-bayur because he has this equation for a drug named jurda parem (parem for short) which heightens the abilities of grisha, which are people who work with magic, not all grisha use the same magic though, and bo yul-bayur was captured by people and put in the ice court, which is the one place where no one has ever broken in to before
the six people are wylan (who's the son of the guy who hired the crew), kaz, inej, nina, matthias, and jesper
and theyre hired by this guy named van eck (dont know his first name and i honestly dont care to look it up) who they THINK is a man of "the council" so when theyre promised thirty million kruge, kaz brekker, the leader says yes because he says that instead of him being controlled by greed, its him that controls greed and blah blah blah he talks in metaphors and shit a lot,,,
so they break into the ice court and stuff, there's a scene where kaz goes to visit pekka rollins, the man who killed kaz's older brother jordie, and it shows him picking the lock on the door, then in the next scene he has blood all over his shirt and says something that everyone assumes is a made up excuse, making it seem like he killed pekka
so blah blah blah, matthias and nina (nina is a grisha, and matthias was a fjerdan who is a person who hunts grisha, they also had a relationship in the past until nina betrayed matthias even though its later revealed it was the best outcome for the situation) are sent by kaz to rescue bo yul-bayur from this prison place for grisha who are addicted to parem,,
and nina and matthias decide that when they find bo yul-bayur theyre going to kill him because the effects of parem are horrible to the grisha's health and only a small percentage of grisha that take parem dont get addicted, and the withdrawl effects of parem can kill a grisha within sometime around a week or month
so nina seduces a fjerdan (the most deadly/best fighter of them) and gets him to show her around the prison but it turns out that he had been working with matthias to get nina back for betraying him and they put nina in a prison cell and the fjerdan is telling matthias to press the button which will fill up the room with parem in a gas form which is more effective than it in its normal, solid form.
THEN it turns out that matthias was working with kaz to betray the fjerdan and he saves nina and then they find bo yul-bayur but its not him, its his son kuwei since bo yul-bayur had been killed and kuwei had been the one trying to delay the production of parem in the ice court.
