okay so theres this musical called dear evan hansen and i havent seen any bootlegs or listened to the soundtrack but i read the entire plot and shit on wikipedia ((so if i get any of this stuff wrong dont yell at me)
basically theres these two kids connor murphy and evan hansen and connor has a bad relationship with his parents and evan has anxiety
to help with his anxiety he writes letters to himself and connor finds one of them and takes it
connor commits suicide and his parents find evan's letter in his pocket and they begin to think that connor and evan were close and evan doesnt want to make them grieve further so he tells them a story about how they were friends
so then evan and his friend jared both end up making fake emails between evan and connor and stuff happens with the lie
but theres this song called sincerely me where jared and evan are making the fake emails and my god if you listen to the song with no context its amazing
when i first heard the song and had no idea what dear evan hansen was about
i thought it was a song about how connor and evan were gay lovers but they lived in a homophobic area of somewhere where them dating would be bad and they needed help from jared to make fake emails so it would seem like they were only friends
my god so many musicals have death nowadays
this was a kinda?? pointless chapter so i'll just add a little rambling since its kinda short
i finally found a program that i like for digital art so hopefully i learn how to do shit soon
