so in my experience of having crushes throughout school so far, the one thing that i have learned is,
no matter how many times someone says, "come on!! i swear that i won't tell /anyone/"
they always end up telling /someone/
and there's also the fact that if your friend group finds out there will always be someone listening at the other side of the lunch table and someone in the group talking a little too loud
so my point is, if you ever have a crush, don't rant on a website that someone from your school knows what your account on it is,
don't tell anyone unless that someone is someone that lives far far away from you, an internet friend or penpal of some sort, or else your secret will spread within a week
this is a really dumb chapter and sounds way more formal than it was supposed to but goddamn there has been many instances where i tell one person a crush of mine and it spreads like wildfire
example, i used to have a crush on a guy named (well, nicknamed) peach (i have a few chapters on him, i was pretty in love, he's a nice guy i guess but he can be pretty annoying at times too)
at a sleepover between me and two other people a girl who i'll call olivia fell asleep and it was just me and the host of the sleepover who i'll call juniper
juniper and i were both pretty delirious, so much that if one of us said "cranberries" we'd laugh as if it was the funniest joke in the world
so she asks me if a have a crush a and i think i do that thing where i don't respond and look away so she figures out i do have a crush
i think i tell her its in my homeroom class and she starts begging for me to tell her
i say no and then juniper goes,
"at least tell me what the first letter of his last name is"
now there was only one boy in my homeroom that had the first letter of the last name start with said letter and surprise!! it was my crush
i meant to say,
"no because then you'll look through everyone in my homeroom with a last name that starts with that letter and guess them""
but since i was super tired i said
"no because then you'll look through everyone in my homeroom with a last name that starts with L and guess them"
and boom, she guessed it and juniper had begged really hard and swore she'd never tell anyone
only a few days later
"hey do you have a crush on peach?"
i said no and the boy believed me and then said,
"really because [juniper's friend] said that you did"
and that was how i learned that the only people i can trust with crushes are internet friends and my parents
(and my brother too))
this was a really weird chapter but still,, i'm still really pissed at juniper for what she did because some people still kinda tease me for having a crush on peach, then again though in a few years when i finish school and go to college and get a job and shit, who i had a crush on in school won't really matter so it doesnt bother me too much
