i finished it last night yesterday and i am just livid
okay okay so heres a major spoiler that i need to rant about and its,,,
mATTHIAS!!
my baby, child, son, light of my life is fucking deceased and so am i
like,,
when i first read about him in six of crows i didnt really like him,, then i started to like him near the end of it
and then in cROOKED KINGDOM,,
I JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM
he got shot by a twelve year old (if not twelve then really young) bc fjerdans hunt grisha ((because theyre /different/)) but after being with nina matthias realized how wrong his people were,,
and this fjerdan boy stalked him and told him that he was a traitor for being with those witches and matthias wasnt angry at the boy because he knew what it was like to be that young,,
and he was trying to talk some sense into the boy and convince him that the fjerdans are in the wrong and that the grisha arent bad people
and then the line was something like,,
he knew the boy was afraid. but he still didn't expect the shot.
aND AHHH
and he called for inej and inej showed nina and my son,,,
and then even though their (as in nina, inej, wylan, kaz, jesper) good luck is
no mourners.
no funerals.
they still had a little funeral for matthias and then nina hopped on a boat to take him to his homeland where he could be buried like all the other fjerdans..
man i just really love matthias,,,

the way crooked kingdom ended,,,
i think ((and hope)) that theres going to be a third book
because it seemed pretty wrapped up but it also had that ending where it leaves some stuff to the imagination

im gonna miss reading about the gang though,,
that is why im going to put the grisha trilogy on my book list bc leigh bardugo's writing is amazing

VAN ECK,, THE WORST PERSON IM EXISTENCE IS IN JAIL FOR A LONG TIME AND HE CANT GET BAILED OUT,,
AND WYLAN AND JESPER ARE LIVING HAPPILY TOGETHER IN THE MANSION AND THEY ALSO BROKE WYLAN'S MOM OUT OF THE MENTAL INSTITUTION,,
bc fuck you van eck wylan's mom didnt deserve any of that just because she had a son that couldnt read,,
now im actually done,,
