okay can i just talk about how much i love my lit/la teacher???
this is probably gonna be a rlly short chapter but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
okay so like,, shes probably the oldest teacher in the grade and it just makes me so happy that even though ((from what ive seen) most old people are usually more likely to not support lgbt+ rights
but earlier in the year we had to write an essay on a book that changed our life and i wrote about "symptoms of being human" by jeff garvin who's (or is it whose??) main character is riley, a genderfluid person
and i used they to refer to riley since it never explicitly stated what pronouns riley uses but riley isnt a boy or girl so,,
and my teacher noticed and she asked me and i told her and she just smiled and nodded and thanked me for explaining and it just made me so happy bc she wasnt being transphobic or anything
and then we also were reading the hobbit and we did vocab words (bc goddamn the hobbit has a lot of words ive never heard of before))) and she chose the f slur as one of them and gave us a whole speech about how in the context it only means bundle of sticks and how we should never ever use it any other way and how its wrong to use it as an insult and just :"")
i just really love my lit/la teacher,, shes great
this was really short but it was on my mind bye
