tyler woke up with the same thoughts that always went through his mind.

why am i here.

as he got dressed for school, he could hardly keep his eyes open.
he stumbled out the door, wishing he could stay in his bed. not just for today but forever.

:.。..。.:

tyler walked through he halls. head hanging low with his black hoodie over is brunette head.

he heard a familiar voice call out to him.

"yo faggot!" he cringed at the words.

he started walking faster, trying to avoid the situation that was about to take place.

"hey!" the voice getting closer. they were chasing after him.

he stoped in his tracks keeping his eyes closed.

"i'm talking to you, pretty boy."

brendon.
tyler clenched his jaw, getting ready to be hit. he opened his eyes after a few moments of not feeling the sharp pain of brendon's fist across his face.

"ju-just hit me already-y." he spoke, looking up at the taller boy.

brendon chuckled, grabbing ahold of tyler's shirt.

tyler winced before he heard a voice call out from down the hall. it sounded familiar.

brendon let go of his shirt, quickly patting it roughly.

"hey, what's going on over here?"

"joshh, my man!" brendon said, irritated. "ty and i were just having a little fun. right!?" brendon eyed him aggressively, almost as if tyler didn't say the right thing, he'd knock him right then and there.

"um-" tyler mumbled.

josh looked at him suspiciously, waiting for him to say something was wrong. he didn't, which made josh give him a weak smile.

"righttt, well maybe you should just leave him alone brendon." josh spoke.

tyler's heart fluttered at the thought of josh standing up for him.

brendon let out a huf before walking away.

as soon as he knew brendon was gone he turned to tyler, who had already been staring at josh the whole time.

"everything okay? did he hurt you?"

tyler's stomach dropped. he didn't like talking about this, it just made things worse when brendon found out.

"no, no i'm fine." tyler insisted.

he looked at the ground, swaying slightly trying not to seem as nervous as he was.

when the bell finally rang, tyler started walking away. josh grabbed his wrist, pulling him back to where he stood before.

"wait," he said pulling out a piece of paper and pen. he quickly wrote something down and handed the paper to tyler. tyler looked at it questionably. "my number, text me anytime." josh smiled letting go of his wrist.

"i care about you."
