as tyler roamed the overwhelmingly full halls, he finally made it to his locker. he quickly put the combo in, opening it and grabbing his things.

when he shut it he saw across the hall josh and debby talking. josh leaned again the lockers giving her a quick peck on the lips.

he looked so hot leaned against the lockers.

no, what was tyler thinking. as he stood next to his closed locker, practically drooling over josh. josh looked up from debby making eye contact with tyler.

tyler smiled giving his a slight wave. josh's face turned red before looking back down at debby and walking off the other way with her.

tyler's heart sank. why didn't he wave back? did he do something? tyler looked down at the ground at little hurt at josh's actions, before the bell rang, notifying students to get to class.

:.。..。.:

josh sat down at the cafeteria table that already awaited his friends. he sat across from ashley who gave him a smile before turning towards troye to talk.

a few moments passed and tyler entered the cafeteria. he contemplated going over to the table josh was at, but decided to just sit at an empty table that coincidentally had a great view of the 'popular' table.

josh's back was turned towards tyler as he would glance over there from time to time. at just the right moment he looked up to see ashley looking over at him. she gave him a smile and wave before leaning forward to say something to the yellow-haired boy.

"why is tyler sitting over there all alone? didn't you say he could sit with us?" she questioned, her voice raising up and down to exaggerate the sentence.

josh froze with her words. "um, yeah." he managed to speak out.

"well then go tell him to get his butt over here!" she giggled.

"i don't know-"

"then i will." ashley huffed, getting up from her spot to start walking over to where tyler sat, still eyeing them.

josh turned around with wide eyes. "ashley-" he started but she kept walking with a smirk on her lips.

tyler noticed she was coming his way so he looked around the crowded lunch room scratching his neck. she sat down next to him placing her hand on his knee.

"hey!" she beamed. "don't you wanna come sit with us?" her voice showing slight disappointment.

"i uh- i think josh is mad at me so i'd rather not." tyler sighed before looking into her eyes then at the table where josh sat watching them as they met eye contact.

"oh, don't let him get to you. come" she grabbed his hand standing up and dragging him behind her just like josh did the other day.

"i- ashl-" he stuttered.

josh saw she was dragging him towards them. he watched with wide eyes before turning back around, acting like he wasn't stalking their little conversation.

when they got to the table ashley sat him down on her side of the table so tyler was facing josh. it didn't really help the whole situation.

ashley sat down with a confident smile while josh clenched his jaw. his heart pounded in his chest as tyler looked in his lap playing with his fingers.

he's so cute.

josh just stared at him letting his thoughts roam his mind. tyler flicked his eyes up meeting josh's, keeping his head low. josh cleared his throat before grabbing his water bottle, twisting the cap off putting it up to his mouth.

ashley noticed the tension, furrowing her eyebrows shifting her eyes between josh and tyler.

"so, josh why are you avoiding ty?" she asked with an innocent grin raising her eyebrows.

josh almost spit out his drink, choking on the clear substance. "i- i don't know what you're talking about?" he coughed.

"you- you didn't wave back to me when i saw you in the hall.." tyler joined in, sounding a little hurt.

the truth is, josh wasn't trying to avoid tyler. maybe he was just subconsciously doing it to avoid the awkwardness, or trying not to say anything stupid about the dream.

"tyler, i'm sorry." josh sounded defeated.

he was mentally stabbing himself right now about making the whole thing worse by avoiding tyler.

he doesn't know, why are you worried about it?!

ashley leaned forward to pat josh on the shoulder. "there you go buddy." all she wanted was him to apologize, which she got.

tyler lifted his head to get a better look at josh. josh gave him a side smile as tyler fluttered his eyes, blushing harshly. god, josh knows exactly how to melt him.
