josh was worried about tyler. he wasn't at school today and it made him even more upset that he wasn't answering his texts. even though he basically said goodbye, that's what josh refused to believe. he's to attached to let go that easily.
it was a couple hours later he felt his phone ringing. of course he thought it was the one person he so desperately wanted to talk to. unfortunately when he pulled out his phone, it was the person he least expected. debby.
he kept ignoring the calls and she kept sending them. eventually josh got irritated and answered. he pressed the phone to his ear harshly.
"what!?" josh almost yelled but tried to stay quiet for the sake of his parents. "i need to-" debby started but got cut off. "i thought i told you not to talk to me?!" josh raised his voice. "i need to apologize okay!" debby yelled at josh over the phone. josh was boiling with anger but he told himself to stay calm, to listen to what she has to say.
he heard a large sigh on the other line. "i-i'm sorry okay? i didn't know what was gonna happen." debby rushed out, biting her lip with anticipation. josh was stunned for a moment, processing what she said. "can you please forgive me josh? i didn't mean it.."
and that's what made josh snap. did she really think he was going to forgive her that easily? "wh-no! i-i can't forgive you! are you kidding?" josh yelled making himself clear. "i lost the person i loved because of you." he growled. "you used to love me." debby seethed through her teeth, bitterly. "i never loved you." josh pressed, shaking his head. he was so heartbroken he didn't even think twice about what he was saying.
"yeah, okay. that's what you said before you met him, right?" josh could hear her whimpers on the other line. he felt guilty for making her cry, he felt guilty about everything. "debby, i'm sorry- i just, i don't feel the same way." josh's breathing became shaky. "no it's okay. i get it. i don't love you anymore anyways." she scoffed with the sound of disgust. "i'm sorry- just leave me alone from now on." josh bluntly told her.
with that josh hung up the phone. he finally felt better knowing he got one thing off his chest. he knew he was being a bit harsh but what else was he supposed to do? be as fake as her, no thanks. now, he just needed to tell tyler his true feelings.
