tyler woke up still feeling exhausted. he wanted to just lay in bed all day. he sat up in bed looking around his room. his messy room. he hasn't had the time nor the energy to clean it, so it stays a mess.
tyler smiled as he remembered the conversation him and josh shared last night. but, the smile was soon replaced with a frown. his eyes traveled down to his arms that laid limp on the blanket that covered his lap.
new scars. ones he made the night before. he couldn't take it anymore. the feeling of josh not loving him the same was overwhelming. it hurt tyler to point he couldn't control himself until it was too late. he hurt himself last night. a silent tear rolled down tylers cheek, bringing him back to reality.
he finally got the motivation to get out of bed and get ready for the day. tyler didn't know why he was getting ready though, as he basically was doing nothing today. he slipped out of bed, walking towards his closet where he searched for his infamous black hoodie. he had hid it in the back of his closet for the longest time. he had no reason to wear it. that was, until today.

josh sat at his kitchen table, trying to get caught up on some homework. as he jolted down some numbers on the math packet he forgot about, his phone started buzzing in his back pocket. he lightly smiled, has he shifted pulling it out. who else could it be other than tyler?
he held the phone in front of his face. his grin dropping instantly at the name that appeared on the screen. he gulped checking the time.
6:30 pm
he had no other choice than to answer it. he slowly slid his thumb to the right, pressing it to his ear. josh cleared his throat, speaking up.
"hello?" he stated in a slightly irritated tone. "hey babe! what you up to?" debby cheered. "um, homework." josh's voice sounding low and dull. "fun." debby said sarcastically.
"so what do you-"
"i wanted to know if you maybe wanna hang out? we haven't talked out lately." josh caught the sadness in her voice. it made him feel guilty, as he's been spending all his time with tyler. "oh, uh-" josh stuttered trying to come up with an excuse as quickly as possible. "i, yeah i can't today. need to get caught up with this schoolwork." he let out some nervous laughter. "ma-maybe tomorrow?" josh forced out. he had to confront her sometime, right?
"oh, uh sounds good! tomorrow then?" debby confirmed. "yeah, yeah." josh bit his lip trying to hold back saying 'whatever'. he didn't want to be a dick. "okayy, love you.." debby sounded confused but went along with it. "okay." then josh hung up.
well there goes not trying to be a dick.
josh threw his phone down onto the table, running his hands through his yellow hair. the idea crossed his mind to invite tyler over. i mean, he needed to talk to someone. about anything mostly. he needed to get things off his chest, but also things tyler needed to know.
he reached for his phone, unlocking it and quickly typing a message to tyler.
josh: hey wanna come over?
delivered 6:52 pmjosh slid his phone back in his pocket and decided to watch some tv until tyler texted him back. josh walked into the living room, plopping down onto the couch. he lazily flipped through a couple channels before settling on watching some cartoon.
josh pulled back out his phone, excitedly when it buzzed. the screen lit up to reveal a text, but not from tyler. it was from his mom. something about how she'd be home late because of a problem at work. josh's heart sank when he checked the time.
8:01 pm
why did tyler answer? he went back into messages and sent another one, worrying about the brunette.
josh: tyler? you okay? text me back please.
read 8:05tyler: i'm sorry. i fell asleep. be over in a minute.
josh smiled weakly at tylers message and continued to watch tv until he got there.
:.。..。.:
soon enough, josh heard a faint knock on the door. he quickly sprinted towards it and opened it up to reveal a small, tired boy. "hi" josh gestured for tyler to come in.
tyler walked into the house and stood behind josh until he got done closing the door. josh finished locking it and turned around to face the brunette, who played the with sleeves of his hoodie. the hoodie.
"what's this?" josh hooked his hand onto the sleeve of tyler's hoodie, as his body boiled with anxiety. "oh-nothing." tyler quickly, but gently pushed his hand away. "i-i was cold. that's all." the smaller boy looked down at the tile covered floor. "oh, okay." josh stared at tyler. there was something wrong but josh just let it go. he didn't want to make tyler uncomfortable.
tyler finally looked up, locking eyes with josh. tyler's dull orbs somehow sparkling in the hallway light. tyler stumbled forward wrapping his arms underneath josh's arms, nuzzling his head into josh's neck. josh immediately pulled him closer, making sure he felt safe. "will you lay down with me?" tyler mumbled into josh's neck, tickling it slightly with his warm breath. "of course."
